I wouldn't say CoD4 looks "amazing". Sure it looks nice but you can easily tell that it's not in HD. The stupid squares all over the screen that are artifacts from upscaling really drive me crazy. They need to find a way to get rid of those.

GTA doesn't set you in a real-life situation in which hundreds of thousands were affected by it in some way. Plus, the GTA games have always been in good jest. You can't even sort of in any possible way make a game bout September 11th in good jest.

I think that a September 11th game isn't very appropriate. Sure we kill Germans and Japanese in lots of games but that was a long time ago. September 11th was less than ten years ago and it's still very fresh in the minds of most Americans over the age of 18.
Sure they can make one in ten or twenty years, but honestly I just feel like it's still too soon.
I wish that they had stayed with the Cold War feeling. That's one of the reasons that I liked the first one so much.
The only US conflict with cuba where we actually used troops was the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. That didn't last very long though and it only ended with the Cuban refugee troops (the invasion force was made of cuban exiles) running back to the beaches so I couldn't really see the whole Cuba part of this rumor as being very credible.
Why wouldn't Americans like it?... For some reason people have this stupid idea that we lost the Vietnam war which isn't correct. The stupid southern Vietnamese provoked the north into fighting again after we had already restored the boundaries as they were before the war and had pulled our troops out.

The law that they're breaking is that they are advertising that they won't sell to people under 17 but they do. Selling to kids under 17 isn't the illegal part. It's the false advertising that is illegal.
You only suffer if you're under 17... :|
Plus this just keeps companies from advertising falsely. It's the same thing as if a store advertises that it won't sell porn magazines to people under 18 and then do.
It's really just fining companies for the laws their already breaking.
I actually don't play games like GTA for exactly the reasons that you mentioned. I don't play games that you kill people just for the hell of it. Now you might mention games like FPS. In shooters you are killing in a war scenario. If I was in war then I'd definitely be willing to kill the enemy and I wouldn't really feel bad about it. However I would never just murder somebody.
