Because It destroys their power narrative, the xbox x is already the most powerful console on the market and it's dead last. So knowing the xseries specs is meh to me given that MS would needs to show a game worth buying it otherwise it's the same ol same ol from them IMO.
Of coarse they where being more offensive they had to be just like MS has to be more aggressive now. I'm not worried Sony will announce the PS5 when they are ready. I find it funny that some people think Sony has to react to every little thing MS does. MS has way more to prove since they have only had a handful of games this whole generation even worth talking about.
What else does MS have to talk about this year? It certainly isn't games, Sony still has current gen games they can afford to wait and plan their next move.

Why should Sony say or announce anything just because MS did? Honestly I care more about current generation games coming this year more than anything else. Next generation consoles are coming soon but exclusive games to those consoles may be years away so why rush things.
Given current recent events I would expect a delay or shortage, but that just seems like common sense to me.

Blah, blah, blah core gamers have decided streaming games isn't the way to go as google has figured out. All this talk about the future is BS MS lost this generation for the same reason Nintendo bombed with the WiiU they forgot who actually buys games. This pretty much sealed the deal with me this gives me no incentive to buy their new console. I have no loyalty to any company I just game on the console that has the most games I want to play. Sony should give a PSVR game with PS plus as a standard, I don't own PSVR but it would be a huge incentive to buy one if I knew I had a bunch of games waiting for me when I did.
