Im pretty sure what our good friend venemox meant was that there won't be any games available to buy before its launchday.
Since this article is reporting that they will be giving out ps4s before the official launchdate, I think that he raises a good question, what is the point?
maybe there will be some f2p games available to download from the ps store already, although I kind of doubt it.

Anyway I loved the walking dead and honestly think it deserves the GOTY award, by far one of the most emotional games I've ever played. Congrats to telltale games you guys earn it!
You can basicly get the same result with normal maps. So I don't really see how having a million polygon model is gonna make any difference to the detail of characters.
It's prob like they say in the article though. Most models these days are sculpted with millions of polygons and then brought down to a much lower amount with different textures maps on them so that they still look very detailed.
Nice, been playing around with unity for a few months now and like it a lot. Pretty straight forward to work with and a big community of people who are willing to help. Anyone who is interested in game design but doesn't know where to start should check out unity3D.
Best of all, it's free!(there is a license version though with some extra features)

The article doesn't mention that several developers from other rpg studios agree with him in this thread. Including Josh Sawyer, (design director from Obsidian)
Even a senior designer from diablo 4 commented on it, agreeing with his statements.
In other words, coming from studios that have a much much bigger budget than Larian has. Given that they're supported by Microsoft and activision blizzard, soon to be Microsoft.
