I can see this becoming a huge selling point for Sony in the Next Gen. They learned their lesson about launching a console that is priced to high, and also are supposed to making the next system easier to program for. If both systems launch at the same time, Sony can harp on the value of free online play, and a subscription service that gives you content for your $$$'s.
Just give me a couch and a controller and I'm happy. I play games to relax. I'm so glad I didn't get caught up in the motion control fad. It would have been a huge waste of money.
Go back to xbox and pay them $60 a year to use the internet you are already paying for.
And the verdict is, they all look pretty damn good.

MS should be worried. They don't have the exclusives, still insist on charging for Live, and gamer's will be a bit skeptical to become early adopters after the RROD fiasco with the 360.

It's about time. I personally prefer the 360 controller. It just fits my hands so much better. The Dual shock is to small.
4 hrs in and so far I love the single player. The multiplayer is great also. It is a refreshing break from BOP's 2.

You see more and more grumblings about paying for Xbox Live on the message boards these days. I own a PS3 and a 360, and have paid quite a bit of money for Live over the years. When my Subscription runs out this year, I see no reason to pay for Live again.
The Next Gen is coming, and I for one will not be buying Microsoft's console. The only must have exclusive imo is Halo, and I can live without it. I hope Sony hits a homerun in the next gen, and forces Microsoft to give us onlin...
I own a PS3 and a 360. I really see no reason to own a 360 over a PS3, other than Halo. I think all of the other multiplayer games are the same on both consoles. PSN has got much better over the life of the PS3, and I see no reason to pay for Live anymore. Once my year subscription runs out, I will not give MS another penny to play online, when the other consoles do it for free.
I just hate Gamestop.
The PS3 is a much better value. I'm really surprised that it isn't taking off more in the US as Blue Ray becomes more popular. Free online play and apps,PS+ is an excellent value, BR player, and rechargable controllers, just to name a few things.
Never buy from Gamestop. Games go on sale cheaper than their used prices.

Sony is setting themselves up in a great position for their next gen launch. Microsoft only has Halo and Gears left. Sony has a lot more exclusives, and just needs to make Killzone multiplayer as good as Halo's. PSN has come a long way, and the fact that it is free vs Xbox Live, should help Sony out tremendously in the Next Gen....
Keep track of your own finances. Anything that has a free trial period is going to try and get you for a free?
