Only one problem - you're using the gpu which is probably already pushed to the max when playing the game. If you're going to use the gpu, you're sacrifice pixel pushing power.

Agreed. This is a very amateur article.

First off, there's so many things that have to be wrong with you to even think that sony should give $100 psn credit to 77 million accounts.

He also mentions that the free content was all first party titles. He says Sony was being cheap by offering first party titles online, which costs Sony $0.

There's so many things wrong with that that I have to break it down.
1. It did not cost Sony ...

You're right in saying this group of hackers are at fault, but don't be quick to lift all the blame off of Sony. Its been known for a while now that your credit card info was not encrypted.

@jukins

Yes, it can happen anywhere, but thats not going to change the fact that I have to figure out which card I used when I bought something from psn a while back, call my card company, and tell them my card info was compromised.

But you are right about the fraud protection thing. MOST cards have fraud protection, so there's no reason to blow this out of proportion like many will do, but still, its an inconvenience .

yeah except you dont send out 70+ million emails all at one instant, it'll be sent out over a period of time, but certainly not days.

You people seriously need to know the difference between a hacker and a cheater/pirate. One of the assignments I remember doing at the uni was to "hack" something (basically we had crash something and then take control of it). They taught us how to "hack" at college.

My point is the blind fanboys on this site look down on hacking without even knowing what it is. The good hackers exist to improve upon the products you own(example: xda-developers). If you...

my guess for ps4 is Fall 2013. Think about it. Sony won't release it at any other time because every Industrial Engineer and his mother knows that the optimal time to release it would be during the Fall time, more specifically, before black friday and before the holidays. Why? Cause when the system starts at a high price point, you want to sell as many as possible before the next inevitable price cut. At this time of year, you get to sell to the die hard fans, and all the kids who want a ...

Uncharted 2 was did not have any revolutionary gameplay, yet it integrated the best of all great games and instantly became a winner.

The ngp is definitely something to drool over. The specs attract the hardcore gamers, while more casual friendly features such as the gyro and and rear touchpad will keep the casuals amused.

I think Sony got it spot on with the NGP. At first, it will be a little expensive since the parts alone would cost around $200-250[basing...

i see no problem for hacking for homebrew, but cheating is just sad, especially when you're affecting other players.

And you really can't expect a developer to waste time writing good security code. When they develop for the ps3, they expect it to be secure. Of course they need to have some level of security, unlike IW who left their developing/debugging tools easily accessible, which is what leads to all the mw2 hacks today.

Its a nice PR stunt by IW. A bunch of people are angry at the hacked game, release a PR statement saying security on the ps3 is the reason for it takes the blame off of them, or at least it tries to.

Challenge matches and other hacks have been going on for a while. Many people dont understand that many of these hacks can not be performed online. For example, challenge mode is only in private matches.

The only difference between the ps3 hacks, and other consol...

Agree with most of this article except the last one.

Of course theres overreaction, sony will not stop making games, and games won't stop selling, but the article acts like it could be ignored. The argument about file sizes being too big or expensive bluray discs is just stupid.

1. People would rather wait a few days for a game rather than spend $60, just for the sake of playing it imediately.
2. Bluray burners aren't expensive. You could get...

Hackers are like the diamond hunters who go into war torn parts of Africa and buy diamonds for a cheap price(tens of thousands of dollars) and sell them in their own country for hundreds of thousands.

The diamond hunters do it for the thrill, just as hackers do it for fun. The thing they dont realize is that by buying these diamonds, they are indirectly killing people by funding these radical groups, just as hackers dont realize that what they're doing ultimately is takin...

actually the galaxy s gpu is faster.. almost twice as fast, but that doesn't mean that this is at all slow. The Adreno 205 is pretty fast, comparable to iphone 4 gpu, unlike the sad gpu's that come with other qualcomm processors. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they will release this at the end of a 1ghz processor's performance dominance. I wish they release this with Tegra 2 or something of the sort.

Anyways, I did not expect this to be an ultra ...

The train level was appreciated more from a technical standpoint than a beauty standpoint, but it does look pretty nice.

Although the train level might seem like it was the most linear, its pretty surprising to find that it was not. You had the option of going stealthily around the top and edges of the train, or go straight through guns blazing.

IMO, the story was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. It was an epic ending that I did not expect, but I agree with LordMarius, it just wasn't presented well.

The author clearly does not realize that Kratos stops and wants to save pandora because she reminds him of his own daughter.

I also think the story in Ghost of Sparta was better than GOW3. They NEED to make a Ghost of Sparta for ps3.

I think the main problem is people confuse open with something else.

Android IS open. I can get the source code right here and do stuff to do it. http://source.android.com/ OPEN for anyone.

That being said, Android is terrible for selling applications. Their main problem being that you can only pay for apps in 13(I believe) countries. That combined with the easy of piracy makes it a terrible plat...

As much of a GT fan I am, I will admit, it did let me down when I first started it, but as time progressed, I started to appreciate the game more and more.

The graphics was the most disappointing thing to me. Everything else about the game is perfect.

I wasn't expecting standard cars to look great, but I didn't think they would be so bad. DON'T GET ME WRONG. Some standard cars look great, like the bugatti veyron, but there's some that are ps2...

Using your logic, my GPU should be the most powerful thing ever because it has hundreds of cores.
