One of the most interesting on the list of what PC can do is develop PS3 and 360 games. :) Can't create a PS3 game on a PS3.
Don't developers that license these engines usually get the source code, so they can tweak and modify them to be literally anything?
So long as your within a couple feet of the screen and have good eyesight (which probably wont last long considering how close your sitting to the television).

I've heard that the 3D is cool, but after 20 minutes people ask if you can just turn it off.
I haven't seen 3D in action, so my opinion is incomplete, but in my view the visual industry is just grabbing for something new to sell. They've already spread HDTV with great color and resolution higher than the eye can perceive (from a normal viewing distance) through the market, and so...

You can always tell it to draw one more light source, or increase the draw distance just a little more, etc.
What do you learn there?
Programming? 3D arts? Sound and music composition?
When 95% of all games are just rehashes of what's already been done I can't imagine there is much to learn about just "design." I suppose the more important part of game design is probably learning how to get lots of cash, because then you can pay the dozen people needed to implement your design.

XBox seems to strive for a more unified online experience and might be in the best position to say "Sorry guys, if they're paying for Gold you can't deny them online play."
PS3 has adopted a more open "do as you please" approach for developers. Though I'd be equally happen if they stood up for their customers.
One can only hope.
And they'll announce it like it's a new program customers should be excited about.

Of course "able" means "forced."
I predict we will view this as the last generation of classic gaming; dRm (with a capital Restrictions) is the future of consoles and PC. Although PC may be redeemed by gracious and talented indie developers.
The developer is usually the publisher. Not hard to publish when the game is just a downloadable binary. They usually don't use DRM either which is a big win for paying customers. The games are reasonably priced too, so there is no excuse for your cursed pirates.
For all you accomplished developers out there, please keep your opinions to yourself. Sure you have a strong background in both hardware and software, but this does not qualify your opinion any.

Just like GTA4 the PS3 has lower resolutions. Some say the PS3 looks better, but at the end of the day the 360 does have higher resolution.
I only have a PS3 and I'm not going to let it bother me.

Is the multiplayer integrated into the single player game like Demons Souls? Whats a roving posse? Makes me think it's something you just happen across rather than multiplayer.
I was watching a live stream on justin.tv yesterday (the game was out already), and the conversation turned to another streamer who had been taken down. Suddenly the stream disappeared, "this stream has been taken down due to a copyright claim." There were over 1000 viewers at the time.
Any streaming sites better than justin; I don't know of any but there's got to be?
I often hear that PC gaming is just too expensive, that computers just cost too much, but oddly enough, my television cost more than twice what my (nice) computer cost.
