The original Doom on PC is better than CoD...
I'd put Sonic 3's Ice Cap at #1 not 7 >:(
They will sell at least 5+ million just on name alone; the game can be junk, rehashed, etc but just because it has "Call of Duty" in the title people will buy it. So they can talk the trash because they know stupid people will buy into it - I will be playing Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 when this comes out.
On the Wii the only games I've gotten into were all the wii shop channel; reminds me of the days where we'd argue between Saturday Morning Cartoons or playing Mario 3 to get to World 7
From a personal stand point; the original looney tunes has got to be one of the best cartoons I've ever seen (yes even above anime)
I miss Nintendo back when it was Super Nintendo and N64; I haven't followed Nintendo much after because outside the Resident Evil series and the Sonic Collection there hasn't been much that I liked (I say again I LIKE) since. I know people will argue Zelda Twilight Princess but I couldn't really get in the game much, I've seen people play and I did try it but I just couldn't get into it.
or they suck so bad they had to low rate it because its too difficult for them
I Remember when this came out, I had it the same night I got it with my Game Boy and played the hell out of it next to Tetris
I remember getting my dad into Street Fighter 2 which got me the Sega Version back in the early 90's; before then it was Tetris when I had my gameboy back in 89; and when I was in high school he liked this pc poker game. Now he refuses to play anything outside those 3
I learned my lesson believing what SE says about "fixing" games; If it's not bargin-binned within 4 months I'll redbox it first to see what "changes" they put in to fix from 13.
And fire Wada
I miss SquareSoft...
I remember the original Mario Bros on NES, that's what got me hooked on gaming outside the arcades because I was too young to know at the time there was a home console (until Gameboy came out xmas of 89). Before then it was the arcades (Altered Beast and Ninja Turtles).
I agree with you on the introducing kids part - back when we grew up you was either a gamer or not, games were a lot harder back then, and the rewards were a lot different than now. If (and I say IF ligh...

"Letting a child play a mature game is irresponsible."
Growing up I played the original Mortal Kombat and I was 12 when it hit Sega Genesis, and I didn't turn out like the typical crowd - my parents taught me very, very early right from wrong, and I made my own decisions involving fantasy and real life. I'd reword it something like "Letting your child play a mature game and not teaching them right from wrong is irresponsible&...
Throw something like "Supreme court says X console is banned....." and see how fast it hits the 1000+ mark
I remember in middle/high school you mention Capcom and/or SquareSoft (not SquareEnix) and someone's gonna mention at least 3+ games (outside street fighter and final fantasy) that was their favorites at that time - and what they wanted to buy down the road. Now you mention Capcom (Scamcom) and Square Enix all you get is milked franchises, broken promises, and games with little to no replay.
No shit, another reason why I prefer 90's gaming over today
The thing I hate about DLC; so many people bitch and complain about it, yet they're the first in line to buy it.
The only times I even worry about DLC - Free, or if its something that's gonna extend the story (not multiplayer) like Mass Effect 2 and how that side story with the collectors was a good transition into 3.
