Actually I disagree with your last point. With the switch it’s the handheld gimmick and the games. Not just the games. Having owned the switch since launch, it’s had great games but more than a few lulls in games coming. Whereas PS4 in the last 4-5 years has been an unstoppable powerhouse of consistently good games, no lulls I can think of year after year.
I think it’s because there didn’t seem to be much heart in it... difficult to explain what I’m getting at. I feel there isn’t much passion here, I hope it’s not just a cash in but I have a feeling that’s what we have.... with some very expensive voice talent attached to it to make it seem legit.
Anyway I’ll hold fire on judgement so I can see all the reviews and make an INFORMED decision.

I already do. The screen when not docked is so low res. I have on occasion used it not docked but VERY rarely. It is pretty handy, but majority of the time I don’t see the point. I would never use the switch in public that’s for sure, only time I did was on a plane because I knew I’d be bored. The battery life for it is absolute shite, such an embarrassment!
