I don't want to play as a fatty just like I don't want to play as a junky, someone who chews tobacco, or an ugly person in general.
God of War isn't what I mean by generic fantasy. It has an interesting world.
Yeah I really liked GOW, HZD, and P5 but I'm skipping this pseudointellectual trash.
That is also overplayed. I just really like when an RPG goes with a more original setting like Greedfall, Torment Tides of Numenera, Planescape Torment, HZD, Deus Ex, or Pillars of Eternity. Part of the enjoyment of an RPG is discovering interesting parts of the world. That feeling is gone when you know everything about it from the beginning because it's just another LOTR ripoff.
I'm hoping for a spinoff RPG with space exploration and dialogue trees kinda like Mass Effect.

I wouldn't say aced it. I'd say a B. We didn't get a big surprise reveal like Armored Core 6 PS5 exclusive or Silent Hills or a big new IP RPG. Solid showing though.

Wouldn't have been difficult this year. HZD 2 isn't in a playable state most likely yet. Spiderman looks good but it's Spider-Man 1.5 pretty much. The games from the other 2 shows were not particularly impressive. Sony generally doesn't have many heavy hitters at launch. That's saves for a couple years into the gen(HZD 2, Dad of War 2, etc this time)

It might help them. It seems like MS and Sony lately have been getting timed exclusivity deals from some of them in exchange for advertising during the respective events and probably some money.
Of course it is. A high end PC will stomp a console. The most interesting reveal from Sony's show is coming to PC too in Project Athia along with everything worthwhile minus Spiderman and HZD 2(msybe PC later tho). However; consoles are generally better per $ unless you pirate every game on PC. Also not having to troubleshoot a PC with some sort of driver issue is nice.
Reviewers that don't have to worry about getting blacklisted by Sony for review copies because they didn't get them anyway are being a bit more honest
