Why though? I love Overwatch but the game isn't even remotely story based, the shorts were cool but if they are going to do a movie/tv series of one of their IPs, why not expand on one of their universes that is more story based? It'd be like valve choosing to do a movie on CS instead of Half Life lol.

I share a similar background to the author, fell in love with the series with VII and loved them up until X but then drifted away from the series. Is this because of lack of supply or low demand though? In the UK it's all sold out which as far as I'm aware, will remain that way until the new year. Can't sell units unless they are available to sell.
I can't see it happening tbh.. the cost of the Marvel license alone is probably out of Capcom's reach unless Sony is paying for it and unless they had an agreement before SF5 launched, I can't see them wanting to back Capcom again considering the state 5 launched in.

Honestly don't think there will be a next big MOBA, Dota 2 and LoL have pretty much complete dominance of the genre, even Blizzard couldn't dethrone them.

^^^^ I remember the complaints lol, a fair few people were unhappy with them taking the game back in the chibi direction after the more realistic style of FF8. The game was amazing though, I doubt even the more dedicated haters can deny that it was a great game.
I think FF for the modern area will always be a devisive subject, the series also has such a passionate following spanning many generations now. As a part of the 7-9 generation, I've learned to appreciate their approach to 15, regardless of how it turns out, I can't possibly imagine it being worse than FF13.
Where are you getting the 16gb figure from? I just got my copy and downloading patch 1.02 and it's 9gb in download size.
Just because we've known it for months, doesn't really make it that much easier to swallow for long term fans. Honestly considering how long it takes Bungie to address problems with the console versions, I wouldn't hold out much hope of robust anti-cheat measures. I hope to be proven wrong but I sure know I won't be risking the PC version at launch if it's announced to come on that platform.
If you don't own a ps4 already, that question is a no brainer for the large majority of gamers. As a ps4 owner without a 4k tv, I'll likely buy the Switch first and a ps4 pro later on in the year after I get a 4k tv/monitor. I like the idea of a hybrid console, I have my ps4 and X1 as my home consoles so glad that Nintendo are doing something slightly different plus they offer a certain charm in their games that you just can't get anywhere else.
Square went all out with the promotionals, it'd be a damn shame if the game flopped. The only thing going against it really is potentially the fact it's still being released with many big games still just weeks old.
That's not a bad idea actually, Kingsglaive is 2 hours and the combined total of the five episodes of Brotherhood is close to an hour.
Comparable to the jump from gta 2 to 3? That's reassuring, just ordered the game today and don't even have a 3ds to play it on yet lol, can't wait to give it a try now though, my last pokemon game was Ruby back on the GBA.
I just hope I can start the game while it's downloading as it's going to be like a 3 hour download for me. At least they are open about what it contains and have a legitimately good reason for it being so big.
