from my experience (LBP beta and many hours spent on GTAIV) it's GTAIV that's well overrated... and I agree, why they compare GTAIV to LBP I don't know, they're totally different games
I'm in the open beta since day one and what I think is that the "z axis movement issue" happens quite infrequently. It's mainly related to poor level design. In the "Story" levels (designed by MediaMolecule) I've got very few problems moving on the Z axis, while on user made levels it's easier to notice it (including the only level I published). Anyway it doesn't change my opinion on this game, it's one of the best games ever and I've never liked platform games before.

I've played that level yesterday nigth with my kids, so it's available in Europe. Text was translated too (English). I don't know if it's user created or if MM made it, but it's not region locked for sure
I've noticed my PSN ID is no more linked to stats on BF:BC website, so it may be true. If it is, I know what to trade in when I'll buy a new game...
