7 days after resident evil and 6 days before cyberpunk with Last of Us part 2 about a month after that is not what I’d call a blessing in disguise.
The difference though is that yeah Sony can get Sony fans hyped but it’s essentially an echo chamber. With E3 these companies are going head to head. Going back to 2013 Sony had their ps4 reveal event and PlayStation fans were hyped but it was at E3 that year that Microsoft made huge missteps and Sony killed it. People still talk about the moment after Microsoft said the Xbox would have to be online all the time and you couldn’t share games and Sony put out that video of how to share games on...
Unless Sony comes out and says they are doing the same thing I think this is a major misstep for Microsoft. They are coming in behind Sony this gen so wouldn’t you want to have a killer next gen only exclusive to try and convince people to convert over? Why release next gen hardware store all if you aren’t going to utilize it to its full potential. I hope Sony doesn’t do the same thing with the ps5.

You can’t say 100% that a Switch pro wouldn’t have games the base switch couldn’t play cause Nintendo has always done that. The gameboy color games couldn’t be played on the original gameboy. The 3ds is basically a DS pro. The “NEW” 3ds has games the other ds 3ds models can’t play. Even the Nintendo 64 had games you could only play if you had the hi-rez expansion pak including Majoras Mask and Donkey Kong 64.
Zelda 2. It be really cool to see what that game would look like modernized and could benefit most from a second chance. It would be a very different but cool Zelda game.
Kingdom hearts 3 is 25 bucks right now on Amazon.
Asylum also came at a time when not only was the market starting to see a flood of open world games, which Arkham city did, but also at a time when we weren’t getting a lot of Metroidvania style games. Especially not in triple A 3D form.
I’m still wanting MARIO 128. I really like the gameplay loop of Mario 64 and want to see it on a much bigger scale.

I guess I just don’t think of horizon zero dawn as a full fledged RPG.
I just want Sony to grab a really good studio that specializes in RPGs. I feel like that’s really the only missing piece to the Sony stable of first party studios. Microsoft’s acquisition of obsidian was the only one that as a PlayStation gamer made me a little jealous.

As excited as I am about the final fantasy 7 remake I am definitely worried that we won’t see a FF16 for many years since the remake is episodic it could take years for it to be wrapped up. I don’t know that square Enix would want to drop a new entry right in the middle of it.

Anyone who uses the term “git gud” loses all credibility no matter what the argument is. It’s cringey, unoriginal and just dumb. The words get and good are two of the easiest to spell.
Also video games are “supposed to be” whatever people want them to be. That’s why there’s so many different kinds. Your video game grand standing comes across as you just sniffing your own farts.

Kinda hope this is wrong. I can understand Doom guy being added just cause of how iconic the character is not to mention how much doom love the switch is getting but I’d rather have someone else. Monster hunter character seems a little too niche even though I know worlds is now Capcoms best selling game. Just not iconic enough I guess. Of course I could come up with an easy 10 I think deserve a spot on the roster so you can’t make everyone happy.
Have you honestly played Detroit Become Human? Serious question cause I normally don’t go for those types of games but I’m about halfway through Detroit and I’m finding it phenomenal. Very interesting concept with some very tense moments and second guessing decisions I make. The graphics are also really good. I also really like seeing how my choice thread compares to the rest of the world. It’s free on ps plus so give it a try if you haven’t already.
Yeah I hope either cyberpunk or FF7 move. I assume Resident Evil 3 campaign will be relatively short so I’m not worried about that one but cyberpunk will be hundreds of hours worth of things to do. Seems like we still have no idea if FF7 will be 10 hours or 100 hours.
