Home and second life have very little in common, you've totally missed the point. And you (aswell as most of us) haven't played Home so the experience all in all is not well known.
From your perspective we could then declare all games with avatars dying.

By then PS3 will have the court for a while attracting new games with large customer base while new xbox will have the most gorgeous games. It comes down to the customer if it's worth another purchase to get the latest thing. And it comes down to Microsoft on how much they dare spend $$$ to push the new games to attract new customers.
Very interesting to see what happens.
This game might suffer from poor sales. But since they've obviously worked on it a long time and created some serious environments they should use it to create more selling title(s).
On the other hand they may do just the opposite and sell like hotcakes.
LBP seems to have that magic I thought I'd never see in games again. Last time I felt it as a little kid when I played early platformers with my C-64 / Amiga 500.

The graphics do not look very good (at this point?) but I think it great to have some houses still producing these kind of enthustiast games. Something for everyone.

I dislike fundamentalism of all sorts but these Greenpeace folks have my sympathy. Man has beaten nature 6-0 and winning streak just continues. I personally believe we will be in deep trouble in a few decades if we do not start taking environmental issues seriously.
In practice this would mean giving up lots of nice things like free cruising with car, gaming, traveling... and to be honest I'd hate to lose it all but it will eventually come to that. Hope it's not too late by then...

Diablo III looks incredible. I haven't read any more of these hate articles but if someone really whines about a rainbow-like-thing on the corner of some screen then I'd recommend that guy to masturbate 4 hours, daily. Don't know how that helps though.

If there was a chance to make a bet I'd place a little sum for this Christmas 2008. There was no direct quote to 2009 was there? Earlier this year game maker of GT stated that the game will arrive sooner than you think so a big Christmas surprise from Sony wouldn't be out of the question.
