I played the original game and disliked it severely. It might be fun for someone who has never played a proper civ game but if you HAVE done that then CivRev offers nothing IMHO.
Seriously, I really enjoy scratching my balls and wouldn't blame devs if they'd scratch theirs. Perhaps not for several years on end but a good set of balls need a good scratch every now and then in order to remain harmonious and peachy.

Women are 30% of the FPS crowd? How was that number researched? Is it even true? In what country? Anyway, in a FPS I couldn't give a flying fuck about the gender of the character. All I care about there is killing the other team and doing that makes the question whether my character is wearing panties or boxers totally irrelevant.
Scantily clad women are no more insulting than perfect, muscular and gung-ho depictions of males. But I'm fine with both stereotypes in games since games don't represent reality. And where is your source that females get treated appalingly in THE INDUSTRY? As far as I'm aware females who work with computer games are treated as well as anyone else. Concerning your point no.2: That couldn't have been too difficult to achieve. Destiny was interesting for a week and then it dawned on me how empty and pointless the game is.
Games already have age ratings and warning icons concerning different things like sexual content, smoking and other things. Aren't those sufficient for you?
(Caveat: I'm not familiar with exactly how the official rating works where YOU live, but they work pretty well in Sweden)

Someone please explain something from the article to me. They claimed the chaos faction couldn't be done with the resources allocated to the main project/game and were thus made available as day 1 dlc via a preorder. But if the main game AND the pre order dlc were both made available at launch that means they funded them both.
