The Mario 3d platformers aren't about challenge tho. Their about fun inventive worlds that anyone can jump into. Must have been a while since you played a Mario game it seems

It's too bad these online multi-player games and gacha are now being exploited and used to create addiction. I agree that games can be very good for the mind but the types of games children are playing can have very different results. I'm happy we didn't have any of this exploitation when I was growing up, but today's kids and parents don't know the damage some of these games are causing

Yea completely agree on that front. But gamefreak is not the best dev and unfortunately holds one of the most recognizable franchises hostage,
so we're stuck with w.e decision they come up with because every game sells millions either way, the fans don't care. At this point I lowered my bar with them to "just be better than sword and shield" lol
I enjoyed arceus and scarlet and violet looks to be an improvement on that so I'm happy with it whatever changes they brought about. I thought sword and shield was the last pokemon game I would be buying tbh, it was terrible.

I wish the effects would blend in more. From the trailer they looked kinda cheap. That said if I purchase I probly won't bother to turn them off, I'll leave it as the devs intended, hopefully it's a good game.

There's nothing on nextgen console that I want that I can't get on ps4 right now. Ratchet and clank is the only one that comes to mind.
I'm waiting on psvr2 to see what they come up with but now that they confirmed its not backwards compatible that took a hit for me as well.

Playing breath of the wild is like drinking a fine wine. You have to slow down and throw yourself into its world and savour the small little quirks. It's elegance is very nuanced, today's gamers don't understand these things unless their thrown in your face all the time. The story is found in the world.
