I'll agree that Deus Ex is the most hyped, anticipated, and arguably best release this month. The point is to show a little bit of love to some of the less hyped, but still good games to be released.

A lot of games that have fallen under the radar ended up being some of my favorite games. Not every gamer has the same taste in games either. To some Madden NFL 12 will be the only big release, and Tropico 4 to others.

That does sound pretty "Ultimate" to me. Make it happen Capcom!

Good article, RockStar sure has come a long way. I'm looking forward to what they do next.

I'm excited as well, there aren't that many good 2D side scrolling beat 'em ups anymore. I checked on Amazon and the $29.99 price says it's for PS3! It'll be a day 1 purchase for me even if it were $60. I just can't decide which class I'd want to play first, though eventually I might play and level them all up.

Nice review, I'm going to have to check this one out.

lol I wouldn't have it any other way, long live the Yakuza series!

The Yakuza series does hold some similarities to Shenmue. Both games were produced by SEGA, and I think the Yakuza games are the closest thing you'll find to a Shenmue type of game. That being said, there are a lot of differences between the two games as well; enough to tell that the Yakuza series has really come out on it's own. Out of the shadow of Shenmue.

If your a fan of Shenmue, or waiting on the fabled Shenmue 3 (that may or may never happen), it's safe ...

You make a good point, a lot of people don't really give the game enough time before they judge it. There is a lot of depth to the gameplay and lots of variety to it; which takes time to uncover. The graphics are a bit dated, but that's to be expected with open city games. Some people just watch a video or play the demo for 10 minutes and say the game sucks.

I guess in that respect the game doesn't really give off a good first impression to some people. Which ...

I wasn't for sure if DCUO is going to be Jan or not. It's listed on Gamestop for 1-31 for the PS3 collectors edition. The standard and PC version don't have a release date yet. Sorcery has a 1-29 release for EU but there hasn't been a US release date for it yet.

I'll keep you updated as more information is given, and I'll update the article. Also if anything else is announced big for Jan, I'll update it. I'll be doing February, and March...

TW2 having reviews out already is because the game was released in November for Europe. I think it's going to be a lot better than the first one. The Metacritic score for TW2 is 80 where the first game got 50.

Yeah Q1 2011 is going to be killer I can't decide which games to get. I know for sure I want LBP2, Killzone 3, Twisted Metal, MVC3 and Yakuza 4. Maybe I'll check out Mindjack, Bulletstorm, and Dead Space 2. I can't get all these games though, gonna hurt the wallet :/

I'm really looking forward to the new game From Software is making Project Dark the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. It would be interesting if Sony (since they own the IP to Demon's Souls) make a part 2 as well.

Mindjack is very similar to Geist in a lot of ways. It is quite a bit different as well. You're not a ghost or supernatural being in Mindjack like you are in Geist. It's more about mind control though science and not supernatural possession.

I can tell that Mindjack definitely took inspiration from Geist, and borrowed a few ideas though. I'm mostly excited about it because of the multiplayer and single player seamlessly being integrated together.

I'm with you on that a ZOE style fast paced mech game with AC customization and lvl ups would be amazing.

I didn't really say For Answer was the best in the series, I just said it was my favorite. It certainly is one of the best in the series though. Last Raven looks really good, but sadly I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet.

I know the producer Nabeshima mentioned he wasn't going to make the mechs faster because players would have trouble keeping up with mach speed combat. What I meant when I said it would play faster was speculation.

I do ...

The reason why I think they devs compare it to Burnout isn't because of the dialog. What Burnout did for racing games is make it not just about winning, but also crashing into each other and having fun while you do it. And Bulletstorm similarly isn't just about getting the kill (winning) but doing it creatively through the skillshot system.
