I think there's a place for both photo realistic and artistic visuals in games. I mean you can't have a racing sim that doesn't look realistic.

In defense of the trailer though, the trailer shows a zombie apocalypse from a very human perspective (i.e fu**ing grim, dark, and depressing.) similar to 28 days later.
I would bet money on I Am Alive, Theif 4, Beyond Good and Evil 2, or Agent.
Unless we consider games that have been in Development hell or worse (why not Duke Nukem Forever's coming out), in which case I'd love to see Star Wars: Battlefront 3.

From what I've read in various previews, it's gonna be like a filn noir version of Shenmue.
Acording to IGN the game is open world but it's not a sandbox. I'm guessing what that means is that you can't go around shooting people and steeling peoples cars.
The fact that the bbc is reporting the issue certainly says something.

The small details of the physics are way off.
Try doing a fully charged spin dash without holding down right; see how far you get. And why is the camera so damn close. I can't see enemies in time to do anything. I can't see the environment around me either.
Why don't Sega just hire the people who are making that Sonic 2 HD remake. Valve do that sort of thing all the time and it's worked out pretty well for them (TF2, Portal).
