What the fuck? These aren't even the same genre almost. First person exploration based questing or masochistic action rpg with border line survival horror elements? This whole dark souls fanboy vs skyrim fanboy arguments are one of the dumbest gaming feuds I've ever witnessed.

No I don't think it's a prequel. I'm just pointing out that he has the same personality as the dante that everyone wishes he was, just younger. If (or when) capcom continues this new Dante's story, it would seem at least at a character level that he is like the old dante to some degree. Hell, he matures a lot throughout the story. He isn't the same at all by the end as the overly expletive dick he starts off with in a threesome with 2 strippers
It isn't what dmc USED to be... It obviously was made by western developers but I have played through the new game 3 times already and I was inspired to play through 4 again. It is SO believable that young dante grows into the dante everyone loves from 4. He's older, less immaturely brash...

These articles and any arguments about this game are getting old and petty. The user reviews are bullshit. One of them says "it's a good game, but it's not DMC so 0/10". Yeah, those scores are skewed.
Honestly though, the game is very good. The dante has the same attitude as dante. Is he more vulgar? Of course. But is he also younger and more rawly immature? Yeah, that's the point.

I don't know man. Just picked my copy up at 11:15am and there was a line of 8 of us picking up dmc. Sales won't be so bad. In fact I bet a lot of the flamers in here are in line picking it up right now.

I don't agree with you, in that I think the game is good in its own ways. It's different than the originals. I understand the gripes but I like the setting, voice acting, the way the story looks. But those disagreements aside:
