Geometry Wars Galaxies (Wii & DS) in the charts; that game is a GW fan's wet dream. I loved the 360 version and Galaxies is a true extention of the origional and it doesn't skip a beat when it gets busy (unlike the 360 version)
yes I agree, I went out and bought the PS3 Orange Box to see what all the fuss was about and as it turned out the PS3 version was fine and the issues were exaggerated.

i think it's probably not true
rsx was designed to take advantage of the spe's it's in the architecture, the IMB paper show's this design goal clearly. If developers don't take advantage of the design then we don't see the benefit.
In overview I think the idea is that the SPE's can help a slightly lesser GPU work a lot smarter and by introducing greater efficiency in what and how you render PS3 can produce a much better overall performance.
this doesn't mean sony are 'blowing it' because the market as a whole is being expanded by nintendo... they (ninty) are attracting a new audience so a percentage doesn't show sony necessarily loosing share but more 'nintendo are making the pie bigger'
the growth is nintendo's doing, sony are probably just holding onto their existing fanbase.
eventually tho' the 'casuals' who've got into gaming will eventually crave something a little more involved than cooking ma...
when you consider the almost year and a half head-start the 360 had over here I'd say the ps3 software sales are holding their own pretty well.

the ps3 is formidable value for money if you think about it. blue ray was always 'the one' over here in the eu. in the UK the only HDDVD player i saw in shops was the 360 addon... and quite frankly... seriously... if you care enough about HD films etc. you wouldn't use a noisy 360 and a separate player etc. it's a kludge.

I bought a 360 at launch and it's still working! (touch wood).
I've had a lot of fun playing 360 but it's PS3's time now, Sony are about to pull off a big comeback.

I have both 360 and PS3 and 360 is too noisy to be considered. Most pc's are quieter (even old ones) and the 360 sounds like a hairdryer when it's in full swing. How can anyone seriously consider an appliance that so noisy, nothing that sits under a telly or media related (telly, radio's, tv's, hifi's, dvd players) makes that kind of noise... jeez even my electric fan heater is quieter
for me the ps3 is an excellent media player and I can't wait for the Freeview TV thing to com...
Gamer Score is nothing more than loyalty points. I also believe games should be compelling to play again and again without Acheivements but the sad fact is that 360 owners are buying 'crap' like TMNT just to get some more loyalty points... and this in time (as the article points out) may send the wrong message to game publishers.

the 360 has great games but the hardware design and quality control is utterly crap, resulting in possibly the most unreliable piece of consumer electronics in history.
People often remind us of early PS2's DVD drive but that was nothing by comparison and we're going into the 3rd year of XBox life cycle now and still there are loads of issues.
I'm surprised that some governing body hasn't pulled MS on this issue.
