Though I love their games, Bethesda is notorious for those kinds of bugs! I remember Skyrim was inoperable for a little while.
Indie Game The Movie is amazing! I always say they showcased a side of the next generation of gaming, because indie dev is growing and growing. Truly a remarkable film.

The replay value has been great. I feel as though as time progressed and the audience widened, they attempted to adhere to the wider audience.

I agree entirely. This has been an issue in the gaming industry for a while, innovation and also not thinking far enough ahead to consider that there are also females playing the games. I think some dev's have caught on, but it's a slow process.
Yeah the download and install does get in the way. Sending it to the background would make installing anything seamless. Of course one could walk away and leave their ps3 on, but to dl and install while playing takes less gaming time away and time away altogether.

I think all of the points listed herein would help to make Ninja Gaiden 3 a great game, especially with the rising popularity of multiplayer. If that's not addressed then it'll be hard for them to build much of an online community to add to replay value.
Being a Fallout fan, and seeing the similarities I feel drawn to getting this game. Is that a fair comparison?

I know they're doing this for those are more or less casual gamers. I could see it being confusing for an uninformed parent trying to buy a game for their child. Aside from that, I imagine the new games will come in different packaging and would clearly state the name.
Whatever they decide to do I don't think a name change will lead to the consoles doom.
I hope they venture west with it if it's successful in Japan. The arcades over this way could sure use some life, and as the first Pokemon arcade game I'm sure it'd attract some attention.
