I blame it on trying to get Martin Scorceses approval, because anything trying to be fun and not serious is not "cinema". I kinda miss the time when Samuel L Jackson and Nathan Fillion were the only celebrities that were in games.

Last generation of gaming is when we got into what I like to call the Martin Scorsese era of gaming, where everything needed to be focused on serious cinema instead of focusing on fun. Sure there were some games that focused on fun and having a unique art style and there always will be, but now that they have the technology and Hollywood appeal, they're going to try and get Martin Scorseses approval, because that's super duper important. There was a time when game studios just wante...

I know right, someone can say that they have the highest rated IPA and I'll still prefer to have the most basic or even terrible margarita even if everyone mocks me for my basic taste, because I think ipas in my opinion taste like vomit that's stuck in my throat. I think there's no shame in having an unpopular opinion, and not just trying to get validation from others. And that pineapple on pizza thing, it sounds disgusting, but then you try it and then you realize it just works, ...

The way we need to look at these buzzwords is the same that we see when a sports team brings in the best athletes in their position in hopes to bring them to look like a superteam, only to barely win half of their games or lose in the first round of the playoffs. Sometimes superteams work, but when it doesn't it just makes you question how they can't take advantage of their abilities.

@Pete, speaking of movies, Microsoft should copy that business model and sell the games at $70 for 3 months and then let it hit Gamepass after those 3 months. It gives them time to let the game receive a big profit, so for that big game you've been waiting years for that you don't want spoiled, I don't mind paying the $70 a couple times a year. And for those small niche games that don't require a big budget and big profits to succeed, well Gamepass is perfect for that to see i...

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't even mind. There's a good selection of games on GP already, and it gives me time to play my backlog of games while allowing the games that need to sell millions of copies to make a profit a chance to succeed, a win win scenario.

If Microsoft were smart they would let the games sell for 3 months at regular price for a chance at making money, then put the games on game pass after that, like what Hollywood used to do. Even tho Microsoft is a trillion dollar company that can afford to support these companies even if they don't make a billion in it's first year, they have to listen to people that tell them to stop the support if it's not a major success.

I know right, if they were smart they would use Cod, Minecraft, and their big ips that should generate a lot of profit as their money maker, and use these smaller games or games that don't bring the big money as proof that they care about a diverse lineup. Especially if you don't advertise the game, it's hard to expect success, I'm still trying to figure out how Apex legends became successful from it's shadowdrop.

It looks good, but for it to be a linear game, it should be pushing the boundaries, there's no excuse for it being an open world rpg, it shouldn't be compared to a ps4 game from 2019. This is 2024, being a next gen exclusive and even if it's not going to win the visuals awards it should strive for that. The environments do look really good tho, and if they work out the animations and models, I'll take back what i said.

They do it like it's payback for how minorities were treated in the past media. I can't think of any movies even going back as far as the 30s where minorities were viewed as the enemies just for being a minority. Infact most movies that had minorities in the past made it clear that racism is bad.

Yeah like everyone said, it should be optional. Sometimes I like to relax from the competitive mp and play a single player that's challenging but in a predictable way. I'll probably use it at times but sometimes I just want to have a soldier yell grenade 5 seconds before he throws it at you in perfect English.

The Peter Jackson King Kong game was alright and still looks a generation above this even tho it was a cross gen game from the Xbox 360 launch. The more I look at it, the more I try to defend their graphics. It looks like they wanted to give it a certain art style, like cel shaded, but it just didn't come out the way they intended, idk.

There needs to be a balance between easy and hard ai. Not every game needs enemies that are as realistically difficult as a pro streamer that spends hours every day mastering every combo and memorized the map. If I wanted that competition, I would play Apex legends with randoms that are legit rookies going against pros.

It's averaging an 8.5 so it might not be the GOTG but it's going to be a game that's great to spend hours in. We don't need another Scorcese shaming people for liking stuff that's fun.

Are you asking for a single player with multiplayer? Is this 2005? After 2010 devs forgot how to make both work in the same game. The only games that have both are ips that existed before 2007, like Cod, Halo and Gears where it's expected. As much as I enjoy Apex, I hate that it became successful because the devs have no reason to look into anything else except updating with new maps, characters and weapons, . same with epic and Fortnite, no need to make new games like they used to.

Halo Infinite got a lot of heat for not having split screen co-op. But that was a different situation because
1. They promised it before the game was even revealed.
2. It's a game series that couch co-op was a staple feature in and fans were rightly mad when Halo 5 missed on it, bringing them to point 1
