I noticed he actually called Sony his "Competitor". Usually Nintendo says they are not in competition with the other two and are targeting a different audience (as do Nintendo fans) to try to act as if the sales of the other two don't matter to them, which of course they do.

Well of course people who bought PlayStation VR and Resident Evil 7 will try it on their headsets. It's not like there's anything else to play at on it at the moment. All this number really says is "out of the all people who bought the VR headset, 62,000 just happened to be Resident Evil 7 fans", not "62,000 people bought Resident Evil 7 because of VR".
The problem with the pro is that the difference in cost from the slim (you can still get a slim with a great game,Uncharted 4, for about $250.00, while the pro is $399.00 and no game) isn't really worth the minimal benefits you get with the Pro. Sure you can boast that the Pro is 2,3,4.. or whatever times faster than the slim, but if it actually doesn't look or feel that way when your playing, who cares.
My point is if your going to do an upgrade, do one that gives...
Oh sure. Say something remotely bad about the PSVR not having any games and being in trouble, and the whole N4G community will rage against it tooth and nail. But talk about how the Xbox is dead in the water because it loses an exclusive and its OK.
