I'm glad this game's coming out in 2008. There are already way too many games coming out 2007 that I'm gonna have to buy.
Does anyone know if Paperboy is still coming out? I've been itching for that one for a while now (as well as Ninja Turtles, Simpsons, or X-Men side scrolling arcade style action. Any of those would be huge!)
and it's still going strong, except for 1 incidence of the ring of death like 8 months ago. I just turned the system off and it started right up again. No problems since.
I play mine vertically because there's less surface area touching the ground, which allows for more air flow. when it's on it's side, i think it's easier for the hot air to get trapped beneath it. I think OXM recommended that as well in one of their issues a while back.

The PS3 version of nba 2k7 got an 8.5 from ign, while the 360 version got an 8.3. I think that the .2 difference gametime refers to is really not as big of a deal as he makes it sound...
i could just as easily claim the 360 version to be superior, just check out metacritc and you'll see nba 2k7 on 360 gets an 85, while the ps3 version gets an 82. in fact, it's a pretty common theme... the 360 versions of cross platform games pretty much always have 2-3% points more than ps3
You make a good point, and you're right that the software developers need to compete with each other, but I think you're missing the bigger picture. Yes, all games on one system would be cool, but what kind of system would we get?
When it comes to next-gen in terms of graphics and gameplay, and what we expect from our consoles in this day and age, it's gonna come down to what the hardware can pull off.

Hear me out - I own a 360 and have no intention of getting a PS3, but I just don't understand why people are rejoicing in negative press about the PS3 (same for when PS3 fans try to trash the 360)!

Actually, there hasn't been any cgi trailer for Halo 3. The only footage released so far was from E3, and that was ingame.

I got my copy yesterday, and let me just say... this game is incredible on live. it's intense, brutal, and just plain fun.
At 720p, the graphics are quite impressive at first glance, and amazingly, the longer you play it, it just gets better up to the point where you will lean over to your friend and say, "I feel like a dork saying this, but this game is simply beautiful."
