I'm thankful for Rainbow SIx Siege coming out, finally a good hardcore shooter on consoles. RIP Socom...
Ugh, 2.5D?? Initially my excitement level was through the roof until I just read that. I assume that means this game is going to look generic like the new Strider or Mighty No. 9. Give me some high quality pixel art on par with SF2 HD or how those concept images look!
The environments look amazing and the animations well done, I just wish it had the "clean" art style that Castlevania had. The "graininess" reminds me that it's an indie game.
Maybe Sony will finally stop making these crappy kiddie games and make some real hardcore games again...namely Socom. LPB1 was alright; at least it was a new IP and something different. But we really didn't need one let alone TWO sequels.
I think the comparison is incorrectly labeled in the beginning...pretty sure ps4 is on the left. The coloring between the two shows "bolder" colors on the right, more consistent with xbone.
The animation on this game looks like a$$ and the environments are uninspired.
Are you saying "boo" or "boo-urns?"
An Amazon gift card sure would be swell...
@xPhearR3dx: You are freaking out way too early dude. This game has only been in development for a couple of MONTHS. Plus the development team is working closely with and gathering feedback from much of the original die-hard Socom 1 & 2 community.
Knights of the Round was awesome. I always thought Combatribes was pretty good too. I would pay gross amounts of money for another original Final Fight sequel on PSN and XBL...
I can appreciate the complexity and brilliance of the programmer who was able to mod a game within another game, but I sort of fail to see the point here as well.
It annoys me how many disagrees you received just for saying a true statement. Can't tell you how many times the mics didn't work on a PS3 game and having cross game chat would've been extremely helpful. The mics didn't even work on a game in which team communication is essential (looking at you Socom 4).
Fanboys just try and downplay the importance and convenience of cross game chat. Is it worth paying $50 a year for live just to get cross game chat? No. ...
Some good arcade games to look forward to. How about some Knights of the Round next Capcom? That was probably my second favorite after Final Fight.
Wow, if Nintendo was smart they'd hire this guy to draw the artwork for a Super Metriod Remake...too bad Nintendo is garbage and doesn't produce any real games anymore.
Allow me to paraphrase the article:
"Because Wii U sucks and is a last generation console that can barely produce visuals on par with Xbox 360 and PS3."
Couldn't agree more. Lol @ all these lemmings that hate on a game that isn't all that bad. Sure it's not the best RE, but there are far, far worse games than this.
The actual game is much better than the demo. Believe me, I thought the demo was pretty lame too, but after getting about 1.5 hours into the game things really start to pick up.
This game does not nearly deserve such a low review score. Sure, both demos were pretty terrible, but now that I am playing further into the game it is actually pretty enjoyable.
I'm telling you people, the game picks up an hour or two in after you get past the first few demo levels. I'd give it a solid 8/10. It's not at all Resident Evil, but enjoy it for what it is: a solid co-op experience. These old franchises that used to be great are dead, and you can on...
LOL @ COD scrubs bashing Socom Confrontation...Speaking of Raccoon City though -- the game is outright awful and completely deserves such a low review score. Capcom should've done themselves a favor and just invested this money into Outbreak File #3.
Socom.
