All I know, is I was gearing up to get my first PS4... but now I will wait if a new one is coming out in October. Not too keen on this every 3 years upgrade to be honest. Even from an environmental perspective seems such a waste to keep throwing out these huge plastic boxes every 3 years. Better make em fully recyclable! And I do worry about the game compabitility/dev support moving forward

If Sony has any sense, they will want to eliminate 2 of the biggest complaints: price, and difficult to code for.
Price can be kept in check by not introducing new storage format, which thankfully they dont need to, as bluray can go up to over 100GB nowadays.
Further, stick with the cell, so no expensive new cpus which as I unders...

1: To break even these days games have to sell a little over a million copies. Uncharted 2 sold 4million + last time I checked.

The reason why electronics like pc's and consoles get louder over time is because of dust build up esp. round the vents.
Because teh airways are blocked the ps3 is working twice as hard to keep it cool.

Yep and actually, if this report is accurate in its insinuation and AMD is only forecasting revenue this upcoming quarter from the "semi-custom" wins, and talking about RECENT wins, then Neo couldnt be coming up this October. Or they are talking about somethig else. But the deal for Neo hardware would have been closed a while ago if the finished product is due in 4 months...obviously
