All technologies are first introduced by the PC. The money spent on a massive rig is going for research and development of even better technologies. If you made pc parts and technologies cheaper for the consumer, then you would have to stick up with UT3 engine for another 15 years.

yes but if the improvement is not so big, which it wont be since its the first game using dx11, we can still play it in dx10 or dx9 i think.
so a couple of months more wont hurt.
I am pleased about this actually, i can't wait to try it out but being in dx11 it offers better visual.
i prefer to wait a little longer for a bit more quality.
i really wish i played it, but for me i lost interest in playing the ds :/ i think gta is really a good game since i used to love retro gta but i lost interest in the ds :/
why would it turn you away? i mean at least you can enjoy following the same character throughout a whole sequel.
for example if you kill wrex in me1, and the game doesnt continue from your saved game... will he reappear in me2? that would kinda suck.
since it's a game with choice i think that it will be better off if the game continues from your previous playthrough.
only thing left in question is if bioware can pull it off cause it's no easy thing to ...
and let us say he dies right... then your story ends with ME2?

i have been a fan of valve since playing the first half life. and have played most of their games. i think its just too early for them to release it, more time would mean a better game for the consumer, wouldnt you want a better game with more variety?
since when are we longing for new maps and new weapons? ...
if they gave it more time, people would want it more.. they could get more content, make it better looking and maybe 'innovative'. this is simply a new map pack with some new weapons and they could have left at least a year before doing this so that for us the game is more chunky, not just a little change from the 1st installment...
...how about they worked on half life for a change?

as a pc gamer mate, i am still playing L4D, i am still playing TF2 and orange box... what I really want is HL2EP3. I guess most pc gamers who like fps and valve want that 1. I am not ready yet to pay 50Euro for a sequel of a game I am still enjoying.
thats why im not respecting valve anymore. they need to get a half life asap.
and if the guy knew something about marketing he should already be doing what the gamers want in the games cause he needs to meet their needs for people to buy his games.
