But the one I work at doesn't do this for games at all...And haven't since I've been there. We do offer Installation/Update for GPS units, but that covers the USB charge cable as well. We even do E-Reader updates and stuff like that for free sometimes as well

The only thing that's really bugging me about the downtime is that I can't use my PS3, or 46" Bravia for MLB.tv or Qriocity. I can still do it on my PC, but that's not nearly half as good looking :(

I get why people are asking for compensation, including PS Plus members (like myself), but I can also see why Sony isn't planning on offering anything.
The PSN shutdown happened after last weeks store update, and by the looks of it this weeks will be the only one we'll miss (for a few short days hopefully). On top of that Plus only really updates twice a month right? So as long as it's back up before May users will be able to get any Plus products they might have...
I doubt there are really that many people going through N4G at this time.
And I also don't really think anyone was, or is going to be that shocked by this. Especially after the Wii's success and previous DS launches. I'm more interested in how long its legs are, especially later this year when more games release (and better ones) as well as the NGP.

The 3DS kiosk went up at our Best Buy last week. It's the Pilot Wings demo, which disappointed me, but if your interested in how it looks head in to your nearest one and give it a shot.
There would be so many lawsuits if they had full motion controlling. Pitching full games? Fielding, I don't even know how it would work. So I can't blame them for not having it.
I'd kind of like a slight graphics boost. The games just as deep as ever though, I'm loving it so far.

I do agree though that Platinum trophies are getting easier to obtain. I remember watching a KZ3 Preview vid where one of the devs said "Players like easy trophies" or something of the sorts. I finished my Elite runthrough last night in about 6 hours....One of the easiest Platinums I've got...

Obviously it isn't SOCOM, but that doesn't mean it cant be as good as S2 was.
Insomniac has said in earlier previews that Resistance 3 would be more of a final stance as opposed to the large war that R2 felt like. It would make sense to make it close ranged combat.
If anything I think that could make different classes way more interesting & easily bring a new aspect to the game.

Maybe its just because I'm a SOCOM fanboy, but 8v8 works soooooooooooooo good if the gameplay/levels are built for it. SOCOM 2 wasn't amazing looking at all, but it's the ONLY game I've played online that gave me pure adrenaline rushes from map to map.
I get that bigger is better, but just because everything is "next gen" doesn't mean we have to have 32-64 players.

No? I'm on my 3rd PS3, have over 50+ games, bunch of Blu Rays. Don't even own a Wii or 360 actually.

Working in retail, selling all 3 consoles, I can honestly say there's no reason to get a 360 over a PS3 unless you have more friends on it, prefer the controller, or prefer the exclusive games.
Everything else goes the PlayStation 3 way. From a hardware perspective, features, network. I mean, you just get way more functionality out of it, for less money.
