Thanks, darkride66. That is one post that actually makes sense.

Kratos coming to MK9 is one of the greatest ideas in gaming history? Really? A character in a fighting game beats all innovative decisions ever? Done right there.

.. OEM versions can be sold at retail to the end user (and are tied to the machine it's activated on), or can be manufacture-installed versions (with volume license keys) of the same software. It's the latter versions that are spoofed by end users with matching VLK and certificates. However, even if you bought an OEM copy, installed it, then instead used a manufacturer-specific VLK and certificate to activate illegitimately, you are pirating. I suppose those who aren't technically-savvy spl...

No, guy, not all OEM versions are legit. I won't even bother explaining it to you. Stay out conversations even remotely technical. You're the tool.

The second point of my post is that megatexturing comes from Carmack/id, and is being used in their upcoming game, Rage. Google it my friend.

What this suggests to me is that they are possibly licensing the id tech engine for this game, which if it is true, would also make this game 'look like crap' and unwinds every counterpoint you make.

First of all, where did this 1080p/60f/cgi magic technology come from that even Sony is working hard to strive for? The only devs to have megatexture - something PCs can't even match? Ever here of John Carmack, id, or Rage? I'm washing my hands from typing this, go facepalm yourself.

.. no surprise really. We'll likely see Left4Dead 3, or maybe a zombie-controlled spinoff. I wonder if the guy who made their HL engine mysteriously died, halting any further development lest gamers wise up and Gabe's fridge runs dry.

"you know what this site is called news4gamers and most of on here are don't even like games yo it's crazy. "

.. wha? I admit, I can read/pass broken english, but even this was a mensa challenge.

"LOL Now that was funny homey the 10 o' clock news hell yeah that's gangsta man"

Way to give up the posturing, or what was there.

I can understand your desire to 'grind the industry', but come on man - lately it's as if you're n...

Actually, big guy, iirc Sigma's native res is 1280x720. Nice try though. You can check the rest of your facts here:

http://avclub.gr/forum/show...

Personally, I feel a little duped about being promised 1080p to begin with, but I gave up long ago and will hope next time it will be true. I don't mean a handful of native games, either, I mean everything 720, 1080.

Besides that, it...

Nice copy and paste job from the forums, jack@sses. Don't even possess the understanding to translate the post into your own content.

Anyway, possible doesn't equate practical in this case. It's just a proof-of-concept speculation. It would be interesting to see if this could evolve, though.

I like how the description adds '(gamers)', but is not present in the actual article. General FUD.

..none atm. Most software is still 32-bit. Considering how long it took to get to 64-bit hardware and software, it will be quite some time before we see 128-bit in the mainstream.

...good call. I've been humbled.

My point is, I believe even bluray is well within the fiscal limits of piracy. Perhaps it is not enough though. Time will tell.
