This is also happening to me and the same thing happened to me when I first started playing Spiderman 3 the day i bought it...i waited it out like 3 days and it stopped freezing...I just think it needs to adapt to being played, so just wait a couple days and save frequently and hopefully the freezing will stop...

why don't they just log out of xbox live or playstation network before they start playing...there was an article acouple days ago about how both microsoft and sony are helping rockstar find gamers that are playing GTA before 4/29...what ever, they deserve to play it if they went through the hassle of getting it early.
