They did a great job.
One could also say "what would it have looked like if they had a more traditional cpu, with the same power?".
agreed, vapor ware with idiots defending.
I preordered one with my ps5. Hope it's good.
ok thanks. I don't have a HOTAS system or even a joystick anymore. Gamepad ... I sort of suck with for these games where good aim is necessary, I always found a joystick (HOTAS) was more accurate than your thumb on a gamepad. Maybe I will consider it on the PS5 in the future.
Thanks bud.
I wonder how it controls with a mouse/keyboard...
Well, I was going to get the Playstation 5 anyways, but Demon's Souls made it an instant day 1 purchase for me, vs waiting a while.
I am going to assume that generations will stick around, but it will follow the PC/iphone/ipad/android/smartph one formula, meaning... from now on all old games work on future hardware. However, who knows. The industry could easily switch to ARM in the future for example. That requires more work to get games playing on it.
This is great to hear. I wont have an Xbox (buying the Playstation 5) but it is nice to hear that Microsoft is going for this full tilt. I wish Sony would do the same.
This game deserves a remaster, with higher resolution textures, 60 fps and it would be great if they could even redo a bit of the lighting in certain areas, or better yet, add some ray tracing. I would have no problem paying $20-30 for that type of upgrade.
This AI video is not that good, a true repack of the textures would blow it away.
This is easily one of the top 5 games of the last 10 years.
Barring that, just getting a patch that...
No, that isn't what people are talking about. That is just a "free game" on PSNow.
It is only a kick in the balls if Microsoft starts to make future games exclusive to Xbox, PC only, which they may not.
We don't know at this point obviously.
That being said, TES6, Starfield and Fallout 5 coming to Xbox and PC only would be a kick in the teeth to Sony and would create some tough decisions for people IF that happened.
Price is in-line with what you pay on the PC for gen4 nvme m2 drives and will probably fall quickly and I assume other manufacturers will come out with cheaper stuff fairly quickly.
I have a 1TB 960 Evo in my PS4 Pro and it has been more than enough space wise. I just delete the odd game I am no longer playing. With 75Mbps internet, new games are downloaded in 30minutes to 3 hours. For my PS5 I will probably look at a 2TB at some point, we will see.
...
I think we will get more 120FPS games than people think. I wouldn't be surprised to see a whole host of updates for old games that push them to 120fps, like Doom 2016/2020 or Battlefield 1 or other games. Time will tell if developers want to support those old titles with a patch. I mean, most of are chewing our fingernails just praying for a Bloodborne 60FPS patch, let alone a remaster.
For brand new games? I still think the console will struggle with 4K/60, because...
To Stevej336:
Canadian Prices. $630 for the PS5 plus tax.
My PS5 cost me $705. Then another $90 for the game pre-order.
I should have said $795, not $830.
Agreed. The 6th area they never released in Retail would be nice.
Few more bonfires on select runs would also be nice, as dying was worse than the boss.
My prediction is they will make some fixes, but it will be controversial with fanboys bitching and whining about how it "ruined the game".
I pre-ordered the game so far for $830. Comes with a PS5 ;)
lol this is SO BAD! It is the END OF THE WORLD!
Look, we all know that cross platform games suffer a bit (obviously), however from a business point of view, they can sell Horizons into a market of 100,000,000 people vs maybe 15-20million when HFW comes to retail.
As well, why shouldn't all those original Horizons fans get a shot at playing the game?
Obviously, the 3rd entry will be the true "Next Gen" game we are all waiting for, the 2n...
I am sure it will make the jump in 2 or 3 years, like Horizons and Death Stranding did, and get them a few million more in sales. They will just do it once they judge that its exclusivity no longer matters.
I have no problem with cross platform games IF they do not detract from the experience of the game itself and clearly this game going to the PS4 will sell very well, which is also very important if we want a Horizons 3 (and we will).
However, will Horizons 2 cut things down in terms of CPU usage, so it can run on the PS4? The answer is yes, but will those be re-added to the PS5 version or will they say "not enough time", giving us a graphics boost instead and very...
Agreed. If anything, cleans up bugs and enables them to release a follow up PS5 patch in the near future.
