Sony doens't profit much maybe from the BD license (they don't own it)...
No, your right, they just own the controlling share of the Association that owns it..... lol.
IF this were to happen
Sony would be making money off of:
Every BD player sold,
Every Blu-Ray movie Sold
Every BD-R drive sold(pc)
Every BD drive sold(pc)
Every blank BD-R disc sold
Every PS3 sold
Every PS3 game sold
AND
Every BD equipped Xbox(or add-on)
PLUS all the movie sales that it could add....
On top of it Sony would be making people EAT CROW... it would drive the Anti-Sony Fanboys to the point of a paradoxi...
He did state the truth, and who the hell said anything about Arabs == Terrorists? Stop smoking dope.
Yeah, I know it's hard to grasp but I believe that they are discussing socio-emotional impact, not surface desires. Of course no one likes losing, and of course the object is to best another human. What they were saying is the effect of killing in the games produces a less emotionally driven response than most thought while dying was easily justifiable to many players due to thoughts that since they were 'killing' others they 'had it coming' or in some way 'deserved it.' Essentially they are ...
My 1982 Reliant 'K-car' does suck, and I know all these fuel and oil efficient models are out and are way better, but cars are a losing format. I'm just using what I have for now, and have no intention to get a new one, which is what every smart consumer would do. Why would I waste my money buying a new type of car when it's perfectly that obvious site to site transporters are a superior means of transportation, and with them being right around the corner I won't have to wait long.....

$514 million in revenue from Sony's products... That's just sick, Throw some my way hey!
Um, porting a game engine to a system it already works with caused a delay? Thats kind of a good trick isn't it?
Does anyone really buy the idea that a major Movie studio is gonna go " Well BD outsold HDDVD 17-1 but most of that was from the PS3, so we should support HDDVD because movies that are bought for game systems don't count. Theres no way to profit from that." ??? Really??
Or you could just use a USB or BT keyboard since the option has been there since launch..... or buy this POS I guess
Look into FF: Crystal Chronicles , it had co-op but not split screen so it is POSSIBLE, but yeah, probably not happening.
It sounds more like they were saying (to me at least) they were gonna be doing some IN-game cut-sceens (or possibly playing separate sections of the story while bouncing between which character you play) on a split screen while the game kept going on the other section, which would be great to keep the story and action going at the same time. All the people who griped about the long cuts w/out action would be quelled without sacrificing the detailed stories.
It's a stripped down mediacenter app for Linux OS made available for the PS3's outputs which does not even work as well as the XMB itself does as of right now.
IMHO Yo Noid featuring the Domino's mascot was cooler than that :P
They are considering it because what most ISP's do not announce is that they have a download limit (most large Bband companies tap it at 20-40 Gigs a month and charge a large premium for anything over), the Warner plan is to help people from exceeding that gap and being charged a massive amount.
Yeah right, here comes the absurd rumors again and call this bunk garbage. I will play along and say for certain that IF they did manage to pull it off well, it would be AWESOME.
Um, wow, yall need to ...
1: Go buy a dictionary
2: use it to look up 'Irony'
3: use it to look up 'Humor'
4: and relax
Time Crisis has always been crap, at least in my opinion, but Japan eats it up for some reason every time.
I would love to see how quick Google would jump at teaming up w/Sony if that happened lol, yay more PS3 functionalities..... Google Earth and Home working in perfect harmony lol
How everyone forgets that Sony was a major player for CD and DVD creation and pretends that they get no money from those 2.....
Enjoy your collection, as it won't be getting any bigger....
