Yup, that's true. But you have to hand it, the game's really awesome indeed. Also, the game has that Kojima-feel to it, even without Kojima involved. Actually, if I remember right, he cancelled MGR. At least, the first version of it, which was supposed to take place before MGS4 and after MGS2. He felt his version wasn't cut for it so he cancelled it. But somewhere along the way, Platinum Games convinced him they'd make it for him. So he gave a majority of the project to PG and he decided to let the young ones make it.
