if you people know how to read then you would understand my point of view. yes i know it produces less power, less heat, less noise. who cares. if that's what you are aiming for then yes, it would be the perfect system for you. the 80gig does have some what of BC. software emulation is for BC and it is only 80 percent or so. as of right now there is no BC ON SLIM. again if i DID NOT have my 60gig, I WOULD RATHER get the second generation 80gig OVER the slim version.

how is the slim better??? the only good thing about it is 120gig harddrive, with the old ps3 you can upgrade your hard drive easily. so it really isn't better. two you loose BC. three they took away installing multiple os. four no more sd/compact reader. you get what you pay for. sure 300 dollars is a deal if you look at it being the cheapest blu-ray player out there, but you are other features listed above. i understand they are cutting cost and saving energy, but the second generation 80gig...

ps3 slim looks cheaply made. i rather have a high quality system to look at and said it's worth the money. slim does not have that slick look. reason why it is so cheap is because sony took everything good about the system after the first generation of 80gig. i would have disagree on the price, sure it's cheap, but you get nothing for that price.

wow i am glad that I have the original launch system of the best 60gig of playstation 3. I am glad i paid 5 bills when it was dropped. for you people have not gotten a ps3, better act quick because even though the slim is out, the 80gig model still some what better, but not best compared to the 60gig version.
this is another reason why xbox fails. that is why the xbox was so cheap to begin with to produce. i'm surprised that microsoft has not recalled 360. this is why i own ps3 and wii.

for the time i have been playing aion on beta....i would agree that it is very similar to wow. in all reality all mmorpgs are all the same except for final fantasy that had and now will have be title called wow killer. wow is dying. things getting too repetative and easier as time ticks by, and yes i have played wow all the way to level 80. after that i got bored of it. wow has become a fps games clone.
