4.5/10 is probably generous for Gears of War 2 going buy accepted review standards that all 360 fans believe in.

Gears of War had almost laughably bad script writing with generic characters and a short and completely forgettable story. Gears of War 2 looks to be more of the same.

Ubisoft should have done this for all reviews and just let the gameplay footage and demo speak for themselves. The previews show a bland story with weak characters and there are pop-in and odd animation problems and the usual visual issues Unreal Engine games are plagued by.
I'm really worried this game isn't going to live up to the hype and fail.

Microsoft really needs to just give up on console hardware and get back to putting their support behind Windows gaming where they are at least competent.
It is staggering to think of the magnitude of the entire Xbox 7 year long train wreck is:
* Put a bunch of expensive to manufacture desktop PC parts in a big ugly black box and tried to pass it off as a console last gen
* Had to pull the Xbox off the market due to their inability to design cost effectiv...
No the PS3 has a less than .1 percent hardware problem rate.
1 percent would be 1/100 PS3s .1 percent would be 1/1000 PS3s
Even 1/1000 sounds extremely high since other than the very rare drive going out of alignment or burning out problems the only PS3 hardware problems that get reported come from 'fake low post count new accounts' on various gaming message boards - AKA 360 owners.
That really is the only way Microsoft is going to remain even remotely relevant over the next few years in the console market, keep churning out new models with the promise that these new ones 'fixed that RRoD problem' just like every other model promised to in the past.
Microsoft has found their niche in the console market, 10 million or so US gamers who are pathetic enough to keep spending money over and over again on new models.

God Hand an 8? No...
God Hand is the pinnacle of fighting games last gen. Maybe it should have gotten 9.5s instead of 10/10s for the austere graphics.
Asking someone their opinion on God Hand is the quick and easiest way of separating the true fighting fans from the pretenders.
This looks like a 4.5/10 game.
