No. You aren't the only one. It's just that most of us who no the truth don't really respond to comments anymore because it's clear it's been clear that most posters here don't care to hear the truth.

Simply put had MSFT continued to support the xbox the vidja game division would have killed the company. You know this I know this and the thousand of other gamers who simply come here to get news and read post know this.....

And you c...

Why o why hit the nail on the head in my opinion. Kinect won't be able to replace the core gaming experience. Only add on it; for or better or for worse that would depend on the gamer. Personally the only games that have justified my kinect purchase were sonic riders and the more recent child of eden. Other than that I don't get much enjoyment out of it. My kids and wife however eat it up.

1. The article is attacking an entire company based on one man's view of the psn issue.

2. xbox live is very hackable but msft took more precautions than sony did at the start of xbl. msft is software/live first. sony is hardware first we all know this.

3. the sony faithful trying to call on hackers to attack msft in their post here are pretty sad. way to be the stand up, more mature community. the same people who cried for the deaths and imprisonm...

Live has been hacked numerous times just not on the scale of PSN. MSFT is handling this just like they do with windows; try and see how the hacker did it to prevent anything similar from happening in the future. For the people saying msft rolled over they should have done what sony did etc,. Look at the outcome. Could sony have eased up a little and try and understand what Geohotz was doing to prevent it? Maybe, maybe not. All I'm saying is regardless of each companies outcome hacke...

You know gaming journalism and fanboyism have hit all time lows when we have to compare failures. Neither were the end of the world, neither were/will be on going issues and neither will sway a gamers loyalty to console "A" or "B". This article is sad and the comments here are worse.

Jeez! Will we ever get back to discussing games?

Times like these It's good to have options. There's nothing wrong with being loyal to one brand or another, but when you put all your eggs in one basket and said basket breaks. Your stuck defending a basket that's pretty much worthless.

A lot of you will disagree with me here and that's fine, but I said this sometime ago about psn and was destroyed by the sony faithful but I'm going to say it again. PSN is a great service to me but in my opinion it coul...

I completely agree. A nice balance of Eastern and Western games can do wonders for this new console.

win back hardcore gamers bye bringing in hardcore games. the wii was a cash cow but not enough games to please everyone. that was the key to success the ps2 had. For every hannah montana, crash bandicot, or [place title here ] pixel or disney movie/game tie in. There was a GTA, SOCOM, Killzone, God of War, Twisted Metal, etc,. to compliment said "kiddy" title.

Personally for every two games I bought for myself I was buying a dora the explorer, harvest moon, et...

the comments about nationality I'm reading here are stupid. The american media gives MSFT a pass but the consumer base does not. Hence the reason the ps3 is quickly closing the sales gap. RROD was a huge problem no doubt about it, but RROD never had anyone's cc info exposed. Does this hurt sony yes, just like RROD hurt msft, but only in customer confidence. MSFT released a new xbox to combat RROD the only people who complained after that were the sony faithful. Once sony updates...

With the recent love Sony and Google have been showing each other I wouldn't be surprised if Google is heavily invested in working with the software side of the playstation all together. Google tv, xperia play with android. Might as well pull the official playstation brand into the fold as well.

So MSFT used this as a marketing tool I do not agree with them but at least they donated. Has Google done anything similar? what about Apple, virgin mobile, Exxon, etc,?

I'd expect Sony and Nintendo to donate they are Japanese companies. Disaster like war is used by some to make a profit albeit in a underhanded sort of way. I'll be honest I'm more upset about the fact that most of the comments here have turned this into a MSFT vs Sony argument. Did Sony donat...

they send you the downloadable code on the card. just like buying the game cards from gamestop for psn or other xbl titles. didn't think I'd be getting this game with not coming to pc but basically 10 bucks for a 20 buck game can't pass it up.

So because their sales surged 72% during the holiday it's his belief that means steams market share will shrink in the future. Have to admire his positive thinking. I do know people who care not to use Steam but most of those guys hate steam because of steamworks and VAC basically any type of DRM and they've never once mentioned gamersgate. the only alternative they use use D2D and the old school gamers paradise GOG.

I wish this guy and his company the best though ...

played mass effect on 360 beat it. it was a chore but I beat. Got mass effect on steam during a holiday sale. better load times, better performance. sold the 360 version and didn't look back.

Bottom line is this. If have a 360 and PS3 you do the proper comparison to see which console offers the best value for a specific game. If you have only 1 you have no options.

If you have a 360, ps3, and a gaming pc. It's really a no brainer at that poin...

while this guy is way off his rocker. I'm not hoping but I wouldn't be surprised if sega made an attempt to get back in hardware.

I personally don't think they'd do it alone though. If anything they'd try and partner with someone (Apple)

and the only reason I say that is because they really bent over backwards to make the iphone4 version of sonic episode 1 the definitive version. From an exclusive standpoint they have enough IP's to...

Let me also add the Epic guys are a really cool bunch of people even IF most of em are tarheel fans...... :(

Why is kotaku reporting on this like it's for lack of a better term epic news? I stay in Raleigh 25 minutes from Epics Cary NC office and follow possibly every member of the dev team on twitter they talk about this stuff every day. Now something that would be epic is if we somehow got some footage of what the Insomniac team here is working on. I work in the same area as those guys and I can't get a nugget of info out of anyone ( I try to bum rush those guys when I bump into em arou...

I for one am glad portal 2 is coming to the ps3. it gives me the chance to game with my ps3 friends. Now in regards to the orange box ps3. People want to say valve disrespected the ps3. Valve did no such thing. Gabe did in a manner of speaking. I personally love valve as a company and I like the fact that they take pride in what they do. They openly stated they didn't have the resources to properly do a ps3 game at the time. EA did it and what you have was a decent game that wasn&...
