I agree with you that back a few years these features were great, both the PS3 and 360 could handle most of your multimedia needs. But it's a different world now, chromecast is $35 and I have a Mac hooked up to my TV, the TV also runs apps and I have a tablet that wireless streams to my entertainment system. When I turn on my PS3 and 360 now it's to play games, I'd be more than happy to see them focus and give me the best gaming experience available in my living room.

We hadn't started expecting everything to get 80% and higher. 50-60 should be average as would be a "c" grade.
Just started playing Prototype and seems fun, though in my humble opinion inFamous has spoiled me for this type of game.
Nice piece of international awareness. Down with Michael Atkinson, what a nob he is.
I think he means you set up your player, from what I've read you assign yourself to one of the 'factions' as part of the meta game. Can't imagine that a first party Sony game wouldn't use PSN.
The PS2 showed more usage than the Original Xbox and 360 combined, and even more impressive the 360 and Wii combined. I don't think this can be taken as an anti-sony story, more just an interesting stat highlighting how many gamers are still using last gen hardware.

Set the system to shutdown after download and the items will install themselves then too.
I signed up back then to but think that was for the closed beta, this one's open, think everyone is getting in, have another go. it only worked on my US account though so prob region-ised.
Red alert has always been the more over the top part of the franchise.
Wonder if it wasn't supposed to be released yet and has been pulled. I can't seem to get it either.
It wont do anything if your outside of Japan, it's for some rental service they are setting up over there, it's on the PS Blog.
The Asia version is in english and available from play-asia. http://www.play-asia.com/pa...
And print it onto photo paper and stick it in the game sleeve, you can barely tell it's not the real deal. Had to do this when I lost one of my game cases.
EDIT: I've even kept the link: http://www.freecovers.net/b...
who cares, my point is that it isn't "REVOLUTIONARY!11111" ;. And thinking halo is better is a subjective observation.
I think a more spread 'portfolio' is the future, the problem is those people that brought the Wii just on a fashion driven whim won't be the people driving the next gen of console launch sales, it would pay to try and make both 'hardcare' (what ever that means) and 'casual' games, but also a console that can run BOTH.
then the tech is quite advanced, not sure you would get 'eyepet' if it wasn't for the advancements of 'next-gen' consoles (Wii not included)
But this sh1ts been going on in warhawk for age's, and I'm guessing there was WAY earlier examples from other games if I could be arsed looking.

EDIT: Credit to watdafck (below) that race was very cool.
Already coming to PAL regions...... think end of the year, no word on US system.
*sent from my gaming PC. (I did specify the living room!) If you're after the all in one box then that's cool, I just think there is better options out there now for far less money. Give me the right tool to do the job I say, TV and music is going to find a million ways into your home, gaming is still special and there's nothing wrong with a dedicated device (or three).
