The folks at Nintendo need to realize that It is 2017. Enough with the gimmicks. Please build a decent console that folks want to buy. I have four current generation consoles in my humble abode. I would love to add to that number. However, the brain trust at Nintendo pretty much squelched that (Deja vu again).
Way to go Nintendo.
The last Nintendo console I purchased for actual gaming was the N64. In the past, I always purchased all three. That ritual ended with the Wii U. The Wii U is not up to par. Games sell consoles. Nintendo as of late has failed in that respect. I will buy a Wii U if the upcoming Star Fox is any good.
I have all four consoles (WII U not included):
XBox 360
XBox One
PS3
PS4
So trolls keep your mouth shut. I just want to point out that Sony's PSN Plus had that for free for almost a year now. M$ better get more aggressive with the freebies if they want to continue selling consoles.
Also, is it just me or is Nintendo's Wii U console getting disrespected with a capital "D" as being cons...
All of this for a game on the most fabulous next generation console that is Wii U < insert tons of laughter >.
I am still awaiting "Star Fox Wii U".
Good article. I sale my used games to purchase new games. This is probably the case for a lot of folks.
How much money does a car company get from a used car sell? How much money does that same car company get for rentals?
I hear a violin playing somewhere. The market will dictate the next step. If M$ is the only entity to do this, their bottom line will truly be affected. Currently, this appears to be generating a lot of negativity. Remember EA recently dropped its Online pass program after only being around for 2 or 3 years.
Does M$ realize how much of a Privacy Issue they are creating. A lot of people are not going to be okay having a device that is always listening (and the possibility and capability of always watching). Just think of the overall security challenges this could create. I see it now, folks putting sound proof covers on their Kinects when not in use.
I guess Sony wants to strike first. So the battle begins.
Who let the uneducated write an article? Nothing is 100% hack proof. The only thing they can do is develop and ensure enforcement of good governance, security polices, and currency guidelines.
I am buying this game day one.
I won't give up my PS3 (I have all of the current consoles). However, Sony is possiblely going to be in hot water over this. Since they accept credit cards there are subject to follow PCI guidelines. Those guidelines stipulate that CC data be secured at rest. It is obvious this was not done. This is PCI 101. Their Risk Management/Security department should be sweating pretty fierce right about know. If they had qualified security practices/policies in place and followed them, they ...
This could be truly innovative if they pull it off correctly. The idea sounds good. The display would truly be for display (more Real Estate is a good thing).
The article author captioned it with the title to garner hits, nothing more.
I had my since launch (4 years come 11/11) and it keeps on ticking. I am on my 4th Xbox 360.
I have the Wii and Move. There is no comparison in response. Even with the addition of motion plus on the Wii controller, the move is better hands down. I won't mention the third grade graphics the Wii. My kid loves the eyePet. My wife is a non-gamer and she was impressed with the move. The positive sale numbers speaks volume. They were practically sold out the day I make my move purchase.
The Wii is great. However, as the video points out the tech is much better on the Move. It is going to be interesting to see how Kinect turns out. I have all three consoles and will probably still end up getting motion controls for each.
We are a Rhythmless Nation.
Deep Pockets Sony has.
Go ahead MS.
Really folks. These are not real people. Who cares.
