That's cool.
So, anyway, someone keep me updated on when the Activision catalogue starts to dump onto Gamepass.
So they took this many years to release the least asked for "remake" off all time? In the same engine that the original game was developed.
I've been hearing that for 5+ years on this site. Still hasn't happened.
Konami. Capcom. Square. Sega.
It's definitely happening this year because reasons.
Within a year Activision went from open to sell, to never being allowed to sell, to now Microsoft is all but free to buy.
Take two doesn't want to sell. They're way too big to care about a buyout. They make billions a year with just their online dlc. Capcom is doing better...
Druckmann has a bad track record with past employees.
Past ND employees have spoke and and said that he'll come up with some idea and then basically force it into whatever game plan they have for their current project. He doesn't play very well with outside opinion.
He seems like another Ken Levine (Bioshock) to me.
They're good ideas guys, but they shouldn't be directing the ship alone.
He's pretty much directing t...
The names you know are the ones who actually write off on the decisions as they go forward as a company.
Druckman is one of the least favored of the "known names" of the company, and now he has one less veteran adding their opinion on how things should be done.
I don't typically buy games day one, but this is a definite day one for me. I loved the original, but really gave up on the idea of a sequel after so long.
Just what Naughty Dog needs; Druckman with even less senior staff to help direct him.
This basically shuts down any idea of something like Jak and Daxter returning, or a new IP that doesn't fall in line with their more recent stuff when it comes to design any time soon.
Playtonic literally already said they are both capable and wanting to handle a new Banjo Kazooie, and even Conker title if Microsoft would have them.
Microsoft is dumb for sitting on IP like that. When you have talented 3rd parties basically begging to work on titles for you, you make use of that.
Rare was at its best when it was basically a 2nd party studio given free reign to work on whatever they wanted. Playtonic is the closest thing to having classic Rare bac...
Ah yes. All of those amazing shooters that Sony releases nowadays.
Just like all those RPGs they release. Oh wait ... they just pay to keep them off of their competition's hardware.
See you on the next episode of And Water is Wet.
This was a slowdown tactic since day one.
It's almost like it's beneficial for them, or something.
God of War.
So now that that's settled.
It was just a question. We've had positive back and forth as well, depending on the subject.
I'm simply just asking what are the games that fit all of the criteria that seem to bother you that lives up to the scope that Starfield is claiming to hold, being you know where they are lacking.
I'm legitimately just asking what titles you love that outdoes what Starfield is claiming to do that I can play at this moment.
I'm just commen...
It was still just active turn-based. You would set a multitude of different systems in place to act, in turn.
You had legitimate control over teammates. There was legitimate tactics to be had. There was substantial character building.
This is just press attack to win, with a little fluff.
Hey, guy.
Very much appreciated. It's not to make it about me. It was just when you know someone for almost a decade, and then you find out about their death randomly in an article, it's pretty terrible.
Your friend's death gets delivered as news.
It's meant to be an inside joke, I think. People who know Morrowind like the back of their hand get the satire piece.
If that's such a problem for you, mind listing all of the amazing games that fit all of the criteria that apparently affect you in a major way?
Can we just go back to what they were trying with 12? Because Square seems dead set on turning FF into baby's first spectacle fighter, set in bland pseudo open world.
He was mine, honestly. Knew him from back when I was trying to be a game journo lol. Played a lot of Insurgency with him over the years.
Kind of blew my mind when I saw an article about his passing.
I don't typically get overly hyped for games nowadays, but I'm really, really looking forward to Lies of P.
