The fact that TLOU2 was definitely running in-engine even during the opening cutscene kinda seals it for me. That said, Death Stranding looked stunning... surprising that it's such a cut above Horizon in that department considering it's running on the same engine.
The first Dying Light was sweet but this looks like they're blowing the scale wide open this time
Sony... what is this nonsense?
I dunno, I'm still kinda interested because I loved the ship combat of AC Black Flag so much. At least there's some outside of ship stuff even if it isn't combat... if it becomes a game as a service maybe we'll see the combat stuff added further down the track?
This one has water though so not really as big as AC Origins. Still impressive however.
I think that's a bit hyperbolic... Sony's conference showed deep dives into quality exclusives, three of which we'd never seen gameplay of before.
Definitely agree... the conference had lots of announcements but when you drill down there wasn't much coming this year, nor were there any significant new IPs.
You've got to be kidding me? That conference was hype af.
FromSoft was easily the biggest takeaway for me... I mean, obviously Cyberpunk but we kinda new that was coming.
I think if their games make a big splash then yeah... doesn't matter if we don't have the surprises. I don't see any other games making as big a noise with the exception of Cyberpunk.
I doubt Sony will move from its current place in the market. It's doing too well as is... no need to try something crazy that's outside their wheelhouse and could end in failure.
all pretty well, lol
err, no. RuneScape is not trash, you just don't appreciate it.
kinda surprised not to see any really big names, tbh. That was always a hallmark of Cage's previous games.
Fortnite... obviously
Nice write up. I'd never actually heard of this game before but it looks as though its got some pretty clever ideas.
I heard some crazy stat that COD WW2 crushed like three superhero movies rolled together in its opening weekend. Pretty amazing, $60 or not.
Well it's entertainment... it's 2018, people watch this stuff instead of TV these days. I don't deny it's odd but people love reality, they like to see reactions and stuff. We're a weird species.
Such a beloved entry in the series, and one that totally deserves more games. Do I trust SE to do it justice in 2018? Not really :/
This is what I want to hear - a dev that actually takes a risk and does something totally different, not just a friggin' Ubi reskin.
