It'll be the same. You really think when their security has been compromised they're going to sit there building in new features just for fun? The only thing getting rebuilt is their account and security systems, why would they waste precious time on new features when they're losing a ton of money and reputation for every extra day this goes on. Cross game chat isn't going to redeem them with the casuals - the majority of their users.
Same...just because they're in wastelands with mutants. The gameplay is nothing alike.
Or just release a few meg patch on day 1... But hey if you want to get the game a week later with no 3mb patch that's fair enough.
I still think without more evidence it's just coincidence. Multiple CC companies have already made statements regarding a lack of increased fraudulent behavior as a result of the breached security. And now know the CC information was all encrypted. Only time will tell I guess
Darkspore isn't a product of Will Wright, nor has he repeatedly hyped games and let us down. Sim City and the Sims are fantastic series.
It certainly is great, but there's only 4 full maps. With more maps etc then it'd be up there. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, the game has a ton of content for the money!
Reviewing and scoring a beta...I remember the days when betas were actually test versions of software.
sweet, will almost definitely get this on my iPhone
Logic of this article is that because a beta is getting a patch, it must be getting hammered :S Whut. Seems like an article for the sake of hits.
I'm guessing it'll basically be a client redownload in the format of a patch, as opposed to them actually implementing a proper patch system just yet - saves time. Pretty standard in development.
As always check out the trial first, but I couldn't recommend it enough to shooter fans! It really sets the bar for how to do downloadable shooters on platforms like XBLA and PSN.
Played this for review myself (submitted to N4G also), and I completely echo this guys thoughts. I enjoyed the original and felt it was under appreciated. But I was surprised just how good Prejudice is, and for 1200msp this truly sets the bar for downloadable shooters.
Here's to hoping Timegate will keep the game supported with DLC pretty aggressively.
April 20th XBLA, May 4th PC, Summer 2011 PSN. It's a downloadable game, 1200msp/£9.99.
Microsoft have nothing to do with it... ¬_¬'
Just PC version for me too. I wouldn't even touch the PS3 version if I had it on PC. All Valve games should be experienced on PC, that said for those which are buying it anyway on PS3 it's a great deal.
Dumb list
Vanguard destroyed by a shoddy development and broken launch sure, but this list isn't "the 5 worst mmorpg launches". The game has come a long way since then, if it launched in the state it's in now it'd be a different story.
That one texture really hurt my experience of the game so much that I decided to write on my website about it to spread the hate.

DOA
I think the differing opinions comes from the gamers playing the game. Call of Duty fans who generally arn't too keen on working as a team and arn't the best shooter players won't enjoy it. But those which enjoy heavy teamplay and objective modes love it.
Also there's a distinct difference in those criticizing the singleplayer portion, when the game was designed pretty much for MP at heart. What pisses me off is once again another example of reviewers lowering...
