Top 10 game for me, nothing has been as pure, simple fun as this game was to me. I really hope there is a remake/remaster at some point.

I haven't played FFXIV since before Heavensward, and I think this is somewhat valid criticism, but I think it misses a few things. Expansions come with new story which is pretty good for an MMO, and even before I stopped playing it seemed to me that having a big, decked-out crib was the real end-game.

Back in the day, Metal Gear Solid 3 was released in a limited edition and on one of the bonus disks was basically just a recording of a play through of the game done perfectly. I can't believe I actually watched the whole thing. I guess nowadays we have Let's Plays.
It is a very watchable game, though.

Please have good hardware and at least a 'standard' controller option so 3rd parties/indies can use/develop for it realistically. I suppose it depends on how you define 'selling well' which is really a financial goal. Financially speaking, is the goal to break even on development cost (or maybe just recoup more than would be lost if it weren't finished/released)? Hopefully it's to make some profit in a good situation. In this situation, you probably don't have the goal of acquiring funding for the next game. Maybe the sales did meet that goal - I don't know. If you're a game developer and you want your game to sell well, and your name isn't "Nintendo" - don't release it on Wii U. This is a system designed by Nintendo, for Nintendo. A quick lookup of the Wii U's top 10 selling games shows they are all developed by Nintendo. Others need not apply.

I'm not sure it was technically an event even, but one of my favorite things in the beta, was in the area where the Hive and Fallen were fighting. I was just farming in that area when all the sudden they broke into an epic battle with tons of bosses on both sides duking it out. I'm not sure how I survived, but it was intense being in the middle of it.
Didn't play a lot of games in list, but would agree with Bioshock, Shadow of the Colossus, and Myst.
I would have included Super Metroid, Out of this World, Grim Fandango, Last of Us, Fallout, Half Life 2, and Portal.

I kind of want Nintendo to fail at the console business and just be handheld/software developer, and they should be making games for PS4/X1. I'd like to play the new Mario, but I'm not going to get a Wii U to do it.

I know there's nothing anyone can say to make you not cheat, but you know that crap can ruin games for people, right? You're not better than other players if don't actually do the work to be better. When Bungie became an independant studio from Microsoft, I believe their agreement included several exclusive 360 games. Perhaps this was just an easy way to get one of those exclusive out there and be one step closer to actual independance.
