it's all true.

The only difference is that the Switch did not have such a big advantage in power over the Wii U, as the Series X has over the Xbox One. The huge jump in CPU power, the SSD, faster memory and a powerful GPU, allows for great advancements in game development, that go beyond what we have been getting on the current generation. By catering to the far too limited Jaguar CPU cores of current-gen, however, the only advancements that will be possible are higher resolutions and framerates, with the p...

I know what they mean. That is why I made the correction. And no it is not "classed" as the Original Switch. The Original Switch is the first model of the system that came out. Calling the replacement model as "Original" is both false and misleading.

How is what they refer to relevant? The "Original" Switch is the first model that came out. That is a fact. If they are are referring to anything else then the article is wrong and misleading as well as uniformed and should be corrected.

Why would anyone want to buy the "original" Switch model. The replacement model has the more efficient processor, resulting in almost double the battery life. In fact it would be the appropriate thing for Nintendo to replace the old model stock with the new one. Both the Switch (new model) and the Switch Lite are in stock.

Why do you think that is?

Hermen Hulst seems like a very passionate and genuine person. He has the charisma to be on center stage as both leader and representative of SWS. As for Ryan, I do like to see more of him in his capacity as CEO. I feel optimistic as his stance towards next-gen is promising and I'm really excited to see what they show in February. As I said before, Xbox should follow suit and unveil more regarding their next-gen plans and offerings around the same time, building anticipation throughout the...

Individual talent is good and having competent studios is important as well. It takes years though for a family of studios to work effectively in tandem, like a well oiled machine with all the cogs pushing ahead. It would be some time before they can match Sony Worldwide Studios' unity. Hopefully they will manage to deliver some great experiences soon enough as good individual talent with the right resources can achieve great things.

It is not the same as Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic. Both of these implementations lower the quality of each individual sound. They do somewhat create the 3D effect but the sound suffers. Speech, vocals and instrument sound signatures lose their impact and get distorted. Sony's 360 reality audio is quite amazing in recreating the same sound signature in a 3D space. If they manage to implement something as similarly effective for gaming the results could be astonishing. And it is SPATIAL n...

Microsoft will be supporting the Xbox One with cross-gen releases, while releasing two next-gen SKUs. How is Sony holding back next-gen? The PS5 will have true next-gen exclusives. Most, if not all Xbox titles will be cross-gen. The recent leaks are not true regardless.

Current PC games are ports of current-gen games, and cannot advance beyond certain parameters. When game development transitions to being next-gen exclusive, only then will true advancements become apparent.

The gif was released afterwards. These impressions were done following the TGS announcement. By the time the video was published there was no gameplay available, so how would they have watched it?

There is no doubt that there are other games in development, especially first-party next-gen exclusive titles that will look stunning. These are their impressions regarding the in-engine trailer that was shown at The Game Awards. The gameplay snippet was revealed afterwards, which looked quite good with some great real-time reflections/raytracing.

In-engine and it's running in real-time. Spencer confirmed this. This is their target for the new system. It is not actual gameplay but the cutscenes will look similar, which is astounding in its own right. The most important thing out if this though, is that this could be the level of visual fidelity we can expect from next-gen exclusives titles that take full advantage of the new hardware. Wizards like Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Guerilla, Insomniac, Rockstar , CD Projekt RED etc will be...

There are plenty of stories to tell in the Uncharted universe, even if Nate's story might have ended.
