GT said it well "Its focus is on driving." GT5 exceeds and meets those demands 100x's over. Best driving simulator i've ever played. I just golded the beginner AMG events. Talk about pushing a 57 Merc to its limits, whoa. I was sweating, playing my race chair.

This is the biggest problem with reviews for GT5.
Since its been awhile since GT4 (Eventhough they made GTPSP, GT5:Prolouge and GTHD), the reviewers feel like if it isn't 100% perfect in every way then its not good enough.
Its pretty pathetic really, because its sending false messages about the game which in fact is actually a ton of fun and i'd recommend it to any automobile enthuasist.
I just want to make a quick comment...

If you look into the BIBLE, in no WAY SHAPE or FORM does it ever EVER promote SUBMISSION into believing. That goes for both OLD and NEW testaments.

I do know that the campaign was fun and it provided enough variety, story and "Oh Crap!" moments that it was enjoyable.
I didn't think the game was that good to be honest.
Apart from the multiplayer/coop, the game was not going to stand on its own merits.

I will note that I haven't driven a proper premium race car, so I don't know the extent of the damage yet and hopefuly i wont find out! lol.

If your buying GT5 for the A.I. your completely missing the point of the game.
The very essence of GT is to Drive & Master Cars (which presumably you cannot afford irl) around tracks (which presumably you cannot get to irl) in a game.
That is the very essence. The cars are the stars and the tracks are the red carpet.

To give a 8/10 to a game with so much content...
I think its completely inpractical. Its not glitchy, its not a short game. It has satisfactory online and many addtional features such as gttv, photo mode and track generator.
I just don't see this game as anything below a 9/10 and thats nitpicking.
Your all out of your minds, if you pass this up your doing yourself a HUGE injustice.
Sidenote: I own every GT. I have...
a 5/10 tells me the game is not worth 60$.
yet....I own GT5 and can most definetly tell anyone its worth 120$ in my eyes. easy..

Anyone who thinks this game is doo-doo (like my brother: based on the ign review) is sadly mistaken. My brother took my karts for a spin online and was having a ball and then said..."I knew the ign review was odd, it was just so negative. I'm gonna pick this up."
