Has been fighting tooth and nail to get damage collision in the cars. Some car makers see how detailed their cars are, and near identical to real world performance, they just don't want their vehicles damaged. It's the care makers that don't want the damage not PD.
I've read that you can download the yellow dog OS to your USB flash stick(or purchase theirs)and that you can stick it in the PS3 USB and have the OS boot right from the flash stick, no need to download the OS.
Talk about not beating around the bush. Did you know that "they" did a study 3 years ago and found out that 90% of the world's pop are dumb-asses and the rest 10% are smart-asses hehe.
Only thing I'd like to see released is the audio/video sharing in Home. I know Sony is working out the copyright/broadcast red-tape, none the less it would be a nice feather in Sony's cap in regards to Home.
Home jumped leaps and bounds from the time I was in the closed beta last year. I read somewhere that it will never technically be out of beta cause it will always be evolving.
I could of not said it any better. Sony took a huge risk for us gamers and was Hell-bent on pushing console gaming/media center forward, stocked up on quality 1st/2nd party support, advancing optical disc storage...list goes on.
The PS3 is only in it's 3rd year. As with the graphics output, I only see Sony competing with themselves.
I pre-ordered Uncharted: Drake's Fortune two months in advance at my local gamestop. When I went in I've seen 2 covers for Uncharted, one in a PS3 case and another in a X360 case. I told the clerk that this only coming to PS3. He assured me that its coming to the X360 as well.
Needless to say he and the manager at the time dont work there no more. Always funny shyt happening at that gamestop during that time.

In all fairness to PS3 owners. When you have a variety of quality 1st/2nd party titles including some 3rd party, those buyers will be more spread out. In this recession gamers just cant buy every game released.
Its different when you only got a console with very limited offerings in their 1st/2nd party. Thats why you get that one or 2 games that pop into the millions, because you starve your user base. They eat anything.
I'm beginning to suspect the reason we dont have the PS3 ver. out already is because square-enix might be using the X360 port to make it even on all platforms. However this like id's rage game, we should wait to jump the gun on 13's graphics. The JP ver. released this year should give us a indication if this is true or not.

Sony does help. If they only ask for it. Parallel process is new to the PC field and it has shown it's far capable at calculating (fanboy flip-out) then even the i7. Intel is working on Cell type parallel processing chips now. Once we get out of this recession I believe you'll see parallel processing more widely adopted in PCs.
The PS3 is still young, give it a couple more years. Once the Cell is cracked you'll see some amazing things being produced off it. Like Sony exclusives...
Don't ever believe a multiplat/3rd party will push either console. It's the exclusives that do.
Is a PC God nerd. However It's obvious he and his team know very little about parallel processing. This reminds me of those 1st-2nd gen ports on the PS3 where everything was put on the RSX. Remember Madden? 60 fps on X360 and 20-30 on PS3. That is because everything was thrown onto the RSX like a typical PC. The Cell is designed to do the blunt of the work.

you are correct about Reach being developed by Bungie. Last time I read news about reach the developer was still in the air. Case point though. Will they use the same engine?
DVD9 IS native 480i. I'm not saying the sub HD rez in Halo 3 is because of DVD9. Microsoft stated that X360 is a HD console yet they support a format that is native 480i and that their flagship franchise is sub-HD.
When it comes to just graphics it is a big deal. This is MS flagship franchise and it's sub-HD. Console exclusives are meant to push the hardware of the console. Microsoft touts HD gaming with DVD9 which is native 480i.
The trade off to the low rez should of been higher frames per second. Halo 3 and this "expansion" are not using much of the X360 resources so like I said the trade off should of been higher fps.

I myself like to see the next console do 120 fps to match the flat panels being released today...motion sickness here we come lol. But on a serious note I just want the recession to be well over before the next set of consoles are released.
