FF franchise is going backwards...
the franchise never properly matured.
Think about it...FFVII had alcohol bad language and even a scene when Tifa was captured to be forced into PROSTITUTION!
Now they give us goofy characters that are not funny..
Not to mention that the combat lacks depth.
I appreciated FF12 because combat was challenging..I disagree with people who say the combat played itself...
I understand but thats what they said about FF13 too...

why cant they make games just like secret of mana? no online game...just 3 friends playing together...graphics wont matter either...nice gameplay, depth in combat and a decent story...seriously it is not that hard...
Instead they produce games like FFXIII spend millions on it and disappoint millions of fans.

I really think the gameplay is the essential problem...story and character didnt make the game fail...it was the gameplay: No cities, no depth, bad boring dull combat.and much more gameplay related stuff...
My Advice would be:
Localize Xenoblade!!!!!!!!!! What is nintendo waiting for!
