Although the MP does indeed seem to feel a bit slower than gears 1, it by far makes up for it on the basis that it is now far more fluid and even. The randomness of certain weapons (shotgun and grenade explosion radius in particular) has been completly ironed out. A slightly slowed down MP seems worth it seeing as pretty much all the creases have been ironed out.
