I can honestly see this real-name transition going worldwide eventually. Everything is going to be far more intertwined with social media, no matter how much you guys hate it.

2K ruined the WWE game franchise.

Lord_Belaso: "Was anyone really asking for this?
Lord_Belasco (17h later): "People ask for remakes on this and other forums all the time."

What? You answered your own question in the comments. Also, this is a fun game. Why the hate???

AnubisG, simply because people have friends/family with a different console to them. Fair enough with PC advantage, but PS4 and Xbox crossplay would be pretty evenly matched. Why not advocate to let these gamers play with each other?

Why would it be? It's still relevant that friends and family members are often restricted from playing games with each other because of the lack of cross-play.

It's hyperbole. His point is that friends and family may likely own different consoles and are therefore prohibited from playing together. Which is true for most people. Don't get why people are ridiculing his statement cos of that hyperbole.

You've given good points and they all make reasonable sense on why to advocate for the push of digital media. You only stated pro reasons for the format yet look at the disagrees; I don't get why N4G needs to be such a hivemind of negativity towards any contrarian view. There's pros and cons to both media formats and people have their reasons for their preferences.

This feature was honestly a driving factor for me to get a PS3 after I was hooked on the Xbox 360's gamerscore feature at the time.

They doubled their game development studios. That alone is an exciting prospect. They will still need to deliver on the games, but they're showing potential promise. If it works out, maybe they'll acquire more studios too.

Tbf, neither of those games have been in development long enough for a gameplay reveal, else Microsoft probably would have shown just that.

Not all of us got to play every game last gen and/or jump at the rising prices of new video games. Them doing these enhancements to backwards compatibility may mean they give it away for free on Games with Gold. It also sets a good precedent for future consoles/games - that you'll still be able to load your favorite game on new hardware for years to come... WITH improvements.

You can fight for both (backwards compatibility AND exclusives). Don't need to berate a goo...

sizofyou, then these games aren't for you. Simple. In this case, they're not making modern SSX games anymore so how else can us fans enjoy the game without having to own the old hardware?

There's thousands of old gems at steal prices for many people to enjoy. Shocker but not EVERYONE is content with modern, overpriced games. Why dampen the mood for the rest of us?

Playtonic should collaborate with Rare to develop Banjo Kazooie (co-op with Yooka Laylee) and hopefully future platformers (ie Conker) whilst Rare can work on Perfect Dark, Kameo, Viva Piñata, or whatever else. I hope they're not just on lockdown with Sea of Thieves for another year.

What is with you Americans constantly making that argument?

Vehicles have a purpose for transportation. We [Europeans] are not going to outlaw vehicles because we need them for transport. Whilst the majority of us have outlawed guns and are significantly safer now too. Funny that.

Loved this game back in the day and honestly miss playing it so may check this out.

Also, 'Now can we have an SSX Tricky remaster? Pleeeeeeeease.' Good god, yes. This generation is solely slacking in fun arcade games.

Of course trophies sell games. There's definitely legitimate Achievement/trophy hunters out there. I used to rent or buy Xbox 360 games solely to boost my gamerscore and know plenty of people who still do it. I even took part in group competitions (hosted on xboxachievements.com) to accumulate the most gamerscore. Microsoft gave my brother a free Xbox One at launch for having ~300k gameescore at the time (he's now over 750k;GamerTag=JJBDude48). Like WeAreLegion explained, it's a f...

Really hope this continues to exceed expectations and sell well. Give Crash and other platforming titles the justice they deserve. These are brilliant and charming childhood titles that a lot of kids are missing out on unless we revive interest.

"1.5% of Xbox users taking advantage of BC"
Yes, but that's in the present - which is almost 4 years after the release of XO -
when they've finally got a library enough to support their own games. Let's not act like a console's launch line-up is always satisfying enough for new customers. Backwards compatability is always a good thing.

The new one is infinitely better. With the jump, Crash has a similar vibe to the gameboy cover 'The Huge Adventure':
