I see your point, many games can get overlooked. I'm always up for trying new games (hence how I ended up getting Crysis 2) if they come recommended or I like videos of them. Sometimes it works out (Bad Company, Crysis 2) but other times it doesn't (BFBC2, KZ2). Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Which is why I've got over 50 games I've barely ever played! :-S

Just not a natural FPS player so I don't like to buy too many. I just find COD easy to get into and fun to play with my PSN buddies. Expect to give Battlefield 3 a try - loved original Bad Company but not the sequel. Tried KZ3 betas and demo but didn't like it - not a shock as I bought KZ2 and didn't enjoy.
As for MW3 if it's basically MW2 with new weapons and maps I'll be happy enough. Not a FPS purist but nice to get fresh content each year.

This article doesn't contain or link to a video. The launch trailer has already been out a week and the article simply recycles the basic details about Black Ops that were released back in December and covered extensively on N4G.

Not going to happen - there is no memory left in the game to add any more killstreaks/perks. It is the same reason that the World War 2 weapons from the Campaign level are not available in multiplayer.
Also Treyarch would not introduce such a big change post-release as the risk that it will create further bugs and complications are too serious.
Agreed. I'm much more excited about the release of First Strike than I was for either of the MW2 DLC packs.
It's around the same price-point as the MW2 DLC and at least they aren't recycling old maps. It also includes a new Zombie map called Ascension which isn't covered by the preview.
I do wish COD would have a destructible environment like BC though - makes the battle more imaginative and if there's a camper you can destroy the building with him in it!

@AllroundGamer They do, however, work with members of the PS3 community to test patches and try to reproduce problems. I'm part of a small group of PS3 users who have been playing with David Vonderhaar (the guy in charge of multiplayer at Treyarch)for a few weeks trying to isolate some of the issues.
It doesn't resolve the hard freezes as they haven't been able to reproduce those problems so far. It does make a huge improvement to the party system and matchmaking, especially for those on moderate NAT. Check out the alternate source above where I've gone through the actual changes the patch makes in a 'real world' scenario.
It's definitely gotten a lot worse recently. I just really hope they get to the bottom of the problems so or I suspect a lot of people will be joining you.
MW2 and Black Ops are the two extremes - something which is a balance between the two would probably be a good game. The fact that I can unload an entire clip into an opponent only for him to turn around and kill me with two bullets from the same weapon is just horrible and frustrating. It does concern me that the guy they interviewed had been camped out for 20 hours waiting, just for the sake of getting it 8 hours earlier than ordering online! I wouldn't have the patience to suffer the mayhem of a midnight launch!

I usually skip the single player mode after playing the first level and head straight over to multiplayer. But on the basis of what I've seen in the trailers I think I'll be making a bit of time to run through single player. They seem to have put a lot of thought into the story and made it very cinematic.
I almost wish that was the case because at least then it would have a chance of improving! Put me in a fair lobby where everyone has four bars and I'll do well. Always have in COD.
