Looks amazing but the AI looks crappy. Hopefully the work on that. But the graphics are there already.
Also, the game seems a bit slow. Turning seems a bit slow.
But hopefully they fix these problems. But graphically, it looks like one of the best games this generation no doubt.
I just watched it...looks just okay. But the game is only in 'pre-Alfa' so hopefully they make some BIG improvements b/c right now the game just looks like a hi-res Gamecube game (and I'm not kidding about that).
Use BT, and after you download it seed. I'm getting about 25-30KB/sec on BT and about 35-40KB for motorstorm2 (both dl-ing at the same time).
Can Uwe Boll appear any more juvielle and immature? Hard for me to imagine.
Yeah, I gotta admit I always use the California population thing (36mil vs 20-odd mil Aussies) in online debates involving Australia.
It burns down people's houses while they are at school and at work.
is that the girl from Argentina? i think her name is Kerya or something like that.
It should be very easy for MS and Sony to copy the Wii controller and more importantly the Wii games. I mean really, the most popular Wii game is Wii Sports, something Sony and MS can create very easily.
Wii Fit also seems pretty popular in Japan but I don't it will reach Wii Sports, Pokemon or Nintendog heights.
Before MS: Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazoie, Diddy Kong Racing, Conker's Bad Fur Day (Xbox version don't count bc/ thats same game, simple port; Rare did 95% of the work BEFOREMS bought them), Killr Insinct, donkey kong 64,
after MS: perfect dark zero and those two games u mentioned
Rare bf ms >>> Rare after ms
no contest. rare was MUCH MUCH more productive before ms.
game developers chaft under ms, bungie went...
Nice video but I don't think it was the game/video that BBC reporter was talking about. Just my opinion. It was nice but I wasn't left 'speechless'.
Read the article. The article mentions that the broadband penetration rate is 22.1% for the US.
Ummm....broadband penetration in US households is only 22%. In Europe, its only 20%. Don't believe me? Read the following link.
http://www.reuters.com/arti...
And the US defines 'broadband' as only 200kbs or faster (i lost the link that says this; take some time to search google, its out there). No way u can download a high-def movie with that type of bandwidth in 15mi...
Wow, GT5 Prologue looks better and better each time I see it. Anybody who thinks GRID (the racing game from Codemasters) looks as good as this needs to have their eyes examined.
Graphics wise, GT5:P is a step above GRID and Burnout Paradise (two games which are at about the same level graphically imo).
Also the sound is amazing in this video.
Looks as good as burnout paradise but not as good as GT5 imo.
Hey noob, Cell is multi-core. Cell has 8 cores.

That's true, it isn't much money. Especially compared to the billions Sony, IBM and Toshiba spent on Cell research.
But this is University research we are talking about...in other words cheap labor. We are talking about Grad students slaving away at crap wages. I would hate to be the grad student slaving away at this crap, getting paid little but essentially being managed by MS and Intel.
What a putz.
Seriously this whole cult of personality thing in the American business is f**king beyond retarded. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Meg Whitman..... who gives a crap? Just do ur job without being all Hollywood.
Before the 1970's, you had cults of personality built around political figures (Nixon, Krustev, Kennedy, Castro, etc, etc). Now we have cults of personality over business figures..... no wonder these CEO's get paid 200x more than the average worker,...
Half a million is pretty good for an online only game (that has zero single player) that you can only play on the ps3. Especially considering it hasn't even been out for 6 months.
I know WoW and other MMORPG's are also online only but that's for the pc (much larger installed base).
PERSONAL NOTE: I learned how to ride a motorcycle in Nvidia's parking lot way back in the day.
Used to live within walking distance of their corporate headquaters before they moved into their huge a$$ current building. Used to go there late at night (1am, 3am...times like that) and practice. Only took me a 3-4 sessions get the hang of it.
Okay, that's all.
