I could be pedantic and say all TV's can do splitscreen fine but I won't :P I know what you meant.
But anyway, that's nothing more than a gimmick really. Local multiplayer on the same screen is becoming less and less common now, and the technology could easily be applied to other active 3D sets with a software update to sync the glasses the way the PS3 3D display does.
As for PlayTV, it's an alright solution but not great.
Most people in the UK if not Europe get their main TV OTA.
Yeah pretty much, I love the cross platform chat and the fact you get achievements.
As you say, only thing it's bad for is pirates :p
The biggest trick they missed was not actually making it a TV.
Everywhere I see it written about (bar from Sony) it's called a 3DTV but there is no tuner in this set, it's just a 3D display, and some people are bound to buy it under the pretence of thinking it a TV and end up sorely disappointed.
I must be one of the few people who has no problem with GFWL. It's always been fine for me, never had a single issue with it.
Battery tech is still the same, just look at phones.
Only difference is there are bigger ones around.
Played the demo and thought it was rubbish, seems the full game is no better!
Shame, seems it'll be another long wait for another good rugby union game. Wish I still had it on PS2.
It's only sub-Saharan Africa that is impoverished badly, you've got places like Egypt too that are reasonably well developed not just RSA.
Hard to go wrong at that price, and if you can get it finished quick enough, trade it into CEX and make a few quid!
Edit - "Lots of interest in our Deus-Ex Human Revolution offer. This offer will end at 4pm GMT so get yours quick!"

It's €249, but here in the UK it's £199 as our currency is worth more than the Euro and US Dollar.
It can be found for less though, lazy example is Amazon for £192

True, but swapping out a Blu-ray drive does not cost anywhere near in the region of £135, the flat price for repairs is madness.
The price has to come down or else no one is going to use this service.
As pointed out, there is around £60 difference between getting your PS3 repaired (and getting a 3 month warranty) and buying a brand new one and getting a full years warranty.
You could flog both the broken machine for spares (and get say around £20 at worst) and the controller (at least another £20) and end up with a brand new machine plus a free game with most purchases. ...
Cheers, that didn't appear when subbing it.
I'll stick in a dupe report on it now.
It'll not be discounted by all that much in the sale, never really is.
Your best bet is to wait for the price of the disc version to crash, buy it and register the serial with Steam and download it :)
And there goes hundreds of hours of my life again...
Most addictive game ever.
They're not 'proper' beta trials though, they're still reserved for official Sony beta testers.
Considering the PSP only had 32MB of RAM lol
There was of course 64MB for the 2000/3000/Go but that was only used to speed up load times, devs had to work within the 32MB constraints of the original model.
My biggest disappoint in a long time.
Stale story, uninteresting characters and clumsy controls. Left it for ages after launch to buy to help avoid getting caught up in the hype, and it was just such a meh game, very unlike Rockstar.
Exactly! Why pay that for a tiny 3D display when you could get something like this for not a whole lot more

Although I'm not a big fan 3D content it's supposed to be an immersive experience that fills your field of view, something a 24" set is not going t...
